Absolutely 98% love the new game mode! The team that designed this really improved on the PVE "platform" since last time. It really feels like a different game, and it keeps us coming back to it for the upgrades (kinda gives me an RPG vibe). Limiting the champ pool is great for this sort of thing, custom skins is always fun, and custom somewhat hidden easter eggs is always great, too. I much preferred the difficulty settings for this one too. The hardness ramps up a lot slower from Novice to Onslaught, and it's 100% fair and winnable. Oh, and thanks for letting us all choose the same champion (or any combination); that was a much-needed touch that I wouldn't have thought of in League. I think my only two critiques would be to

  1. Make it much more obvious that the "get your friend up" summoner spell is a passive activation in the spell's description itself. I understand that you can only blame me for not knowing that, but plenty of people like myself like to just dive into a game or gamemode without reading the directions. #WeAmericansCantRead [I'm going to be really embarrassed if it does say that in its description]
  2. Make it clear when Skarner-bot is about to ultimate you. It's the only thing in the game that doesn't feel fair. Adding insult to injury is how long it lasts. I've seen on the boards a number of people outright wanted him removed, but I liked him in the mix.

tip, if a skarner is small its probably an ulting one, another indicator is that a skarner that spews is that skarner that wont ult you, otherwise i love the gamemode too,i know it may be too much to ask but i want a mode where the same 3 or 4 maps arent used over and over again, but maybe something with variety or at least feeling like you're going in on an adventure, oddyssey came close with that at least

the only thing i dont like about it, is how it generates difficulty through rng.

i know its a bullet hell, but it can lead to unfair situations, where you get quickly cornered multiple times, then run out of dashes, get cornered again and killed by ambient aoe effects that are seemingly chasing you.

the most frustrating enemy on that mode for me are the skarner minions that drag you into their aoe zones. its usually a guaranteed death sentence.

im also not sure how youre supposed to pull of a tank malphite build, when drawing aggro from too many enemies at the same time often just kills you. you really need ziggs or sona on the job to heal you nonstop if youre trying to go for that.

he really needs another augment, that basically gives him a hecarim w or something similar, so he can heal off all enemies that he pulls together and that get damaged by his allies.

i really like the combination of aftershock, echo and intimidating. just having this giant aoe effect that procs multiple times and draws aggro towards you. he just needs a better way to deal with that aggro once he has it.

I think it will probably be another week before I enjoy it because people playing onslaught with 2 augments.
