Linux Support

I'd like League of Legends Linux support.

Is it possible to either fully support Linux or at least have some support for one of the 3rd party options for getting the client to work?

It would be nice to at least have seamless transitions at patch times , and a fix to the lag in the lobby prior to going into games for champ select/bans. etc.

I'm also curious to know how the developers would determine the playerbase that would be interested in Linux support, because the third party options emulates a Windows XP/Windows environment when running the game.

Riot dropped Linux support because it caused to many issues with updating the client. When a client doesn't even support Windows. How are they are going to pull this off with one more OS [zombie-brand-mindblown]

They could go the Electron stack route for the client itself (this is what Slack is built on) that leverages web technologies that is cross compatible across multiple OS.

As for the game portion - look at the large number of Steam games that are directly Linux compatible.

It is unlikely to happen imo. I've not been able to play LoL for the past 6 months since my windows busted. I installed Archlinux as I didn't have my windows disk but no LoL for me now I only watch steams :(

Also I would agree with CoolKnightST, windows client needs more work.
