Are comebacks even possible now? (Season 7)

As the title suggests, are comebacks even possible? No matter how hard I try or my team tries, it just seems like comebacks aren't possible. I've been playing since season 2-3 and I can safely say that comebacks were much easier back then. It just seems like this season, if a team has a big lead on the other team, it's an inevitable loss for the losing team. The only way they come back is when they actually make a big throw. I'm talking about like if their adc decides to afk or they just get too cocky. Anyways, it's just a rant and I would love to hear some feedback. (: -Calypso

The comebacks against a team that takes baron are impossible. Even the support can take your whole base with the buffed minions. If you have lost an inhib, better surrender.

They are but not nearly as frequent. If the score is 5-25 the game's over, doesn't matter if your team scales considering there is no "late game" anymore. 25+ minutes is considered late game.

I feel like instead of a 5v5 it's more like...who camps bot lane. I swear every 2 mins of bot lane there's ALWAYS going to be someone joining in the fun. It's no longer league. It's whoever goes bot lane wins.

Yes, but it all depends on how strong your teams integrity is, i have had games we we're losing in both early and mid game, but when everyone caught up, we pushed till we got a lucky break, got an enemy team wiped, and push all the way to nexus. 55min game tho, so not alot of players are committed to that.

But if someone is tired, bored, not into the game anymore, and a surrender vote is 3 votes in to FF, everyone has to decide, quit now or gamble for a comeback.

In my 55min game, no one gave the surrender vote and we won. i'm still unranked btw and it was a draft pick with randos, i was Vel koz against Veigar.

comebacks don't always happen, so don't expect it to happen every game. there will be a weakest link, just hope it's not on your side.

I havent played at the end of season 6, but now as im doing my placement I noticed games are becoming longer. out of 7 games and 4 wins that I had 3 wins were literally because of comebacks even though we were behind in gold.

Yes they are. I lose about 25% of my games due to enemy comeback and I win about the same due to my teams comeback.

if you actually have late game scaling team comps, and not just fed late game scaling enemies in the early game
