Remake Zyras passive

So I saw this discussion about Zyra's passive, why it was so weak/how you could make it better. Riotgames finally understood how shitty Zilean's passive has become, so they're totally remaking it. Why not do the same with Zyra's passive? It's seriously really really bad, being just stupid hard to land correctly.

[New Passive] Plants Revenge: As Zyra dies, she surrounds herself with thorns. After 2 seconds, Zyra is able to move, is untargetable and can cast spells again at reduced damage for 4 seconds. (Or you can make her targetable and make it able to kill her, but allowing her spells to deal full damage)

Or:

[New Passive] Flower Gunner: As Zyra dies, she channels for 0,5 second, and then becomes a slowmoving plant. As a plant, she has greatly increased attack speed, and her basic attacks deals bonus damage based on her ap. Last 4 seconds. Zyra may not cast any spells during this time, only use basic attacks.

[New Passive]: _Domain of Thorns _ After not moving for 3 sec Zyra roots herself into the ground ganing extra effect on her abilities. Q: Increased range by 250,while increasing the AoE by 25. W:Renegerate seeds faster. E:Increases range 150.While traveling turns into a small cone instead of just a straight line skillshoots. R:Extra 200 range.The ulty knockes up faster the closer it's to Zyra. Upon moving Zyra's speed recovers over 1 sec.

ADDITIONALY:Depending how efficient this would be other effects could be tremor sense/sight into all bushes/killing&assisting regenerates seed.

So you're going to replace one shitty after-death effect with another?

The main gripe of Zyra's passive is the fact she doesn't have one until she dies.

How about something more unique: Once every 220/200/180 seconds, if Zyra places a flower under a jungle monster and autoattacks it, the flower bursts open violently impaling and restricting the monster forcing it to submission from Zyra's commands.

Something like that.

I'll just post what I posted back in the other thread.

I think Zyra should lose her current passive. It's not a good idea for a squishy champ to have to die to access part of their kit, Karthus exempt because he's literally built around dying.

Personally I think moving her W to her passive as something like

When Zyra hits an enemy with a spell she spawns a seed at their location, this effect can only occur once per spell and has a 8 second internal CD against minions and monsters.

Other than that the seeds would work the same, maybe with a small increase to invulnerability time since they can now only be placed underfoot.

Which frees up her W for a new spell, I'd go with something like

Zyra lashes forward with her wrist vine (seriously she never uses those things) dealing a small amount of magic damage and crippling them for a short duration. If this spell hits a seed it spawns a wall of thorns which deals persistent damage to units on it.

And numbers, which are always way off because no way of testing

W spell Range: 500 Damage: 50 / 90 / 130 / 170 / 210 + 40% AP Mana Cost: 50 Cripple Duration: 1.6/1.7/1.8/1.9/2

W Plant Damage identical to Q and E plants (advantage of AOE over range and CC), ticks 1 time per second, 2 times when ulted. (plants attack 0.8 times per sec, slightly higher DPS for it's 0 range) Takes damage priority over Q and E plants and reduces their damage as normal. Has 6 HP as with all plants.

Basically gives her better peel strengthening the 'peel mage' archetype that Riot talked about liking for Zyra recently. Keeps support Zyra viable while encouraging mid Zyra as a counterpick to guys like Yas and Zed. And introduces a type of CC that League needs given the current state of powercreep.

I'm also not sure where this would fall in terms of power, it's probably broke as fuck, but I think it would be a far better place to start balancing Zyra from.

[New Passive] Flower's revenge : As Zyra dies , she can Plant a powerful flower anywhere in the map that can either :

-Have the same attack speed as her flowers+ulti but with more health , lasts 6 seconds and attacks nerby ennemies

-Gives bonus attack speed/magic resist to nerby allies , lasts 8 seconds

that is disgustingly over powered. Just give her bonus movement speed near her seeds (not plants)
