What makes a champion overpowered?
Because let's face it, there ARE overpowered champs in the game. Saying something else is just stupid.
Then what makes a champion overpowered? In my eyes, there are 4 things to measure how OP a champ is:
- Mobility
- Damage
- Durability
- Cc
There's a difference between an OP champ and an OP ability though. Let's take Mordekaiser as an example. He has (what I would say) a ridicolous overpowered damage with his Q. But nothing else in his kit allows him to be OP. That's why I would say that Mordekaisers Q is op, and not Morderkaiser himself.
A champion that has a kit with several of these things, is in my eyes overpowered.
Let's take
Vayne as an example:
-
Mobility; With a ~2 seconds cooldown on her Tumble, she has alot of great mobility.
-
Damage; Her damage is most based on her W. An ability that deals true damage based on her enemies max health, so it has no counterplay whatsoever. With this, she has a high damage
-
Durability; She's not tanky herself, but with her E that she can knock enemies away with, aswell as a stealth each time she Tumbles with her ultimate on, she is still very hard to kill. She could easily get killed if she's strongly focused though. So I would say her durability is ~normal.
-
Cc; With only a knock back, and a potential stun, she has a low amount of cc.
With this kit, I would say that Vayne is an overpowered champion.
If you would go after those 4 dots, then who do you guys think is overpowered?
Edit. Of course every champ has a counter, and facing your counter in a lane means a big chance of losing your lane. But being overpowered doesn't mean to win your lane. It means having alot easier to carry a game to victory. Because losing a lane doesn't mean losing a game.
