The Problem With Perxie

Hey everyone. So ever since the annoucement of runes reforged, I've been excited. The runes system has always felt outdated to me, and I'm glad it's being worked on. However, one keystone rune in particular has been on my mind lately: Perxie.

While I think Perxie is a great rune that will encourage players to play aggressive supports without losing the ability to save their allies, I am not a fan of the reused graphics from Star Guardian Janna. As someone who purchased the skin primarily because I thought Zephyr was absolutely adorable, I can't help but feel cheated.

I have never been a fan of reused graphics in games. It honestly feels cheap, and I expect better from Riot. I'm not asking for a refund because I love the skin as a whole; I'm asking for the Perxie graphics to at least get a small color change to differentiate them from Star Guardian Janna's Zephyr.

The graphics we saw when it was announced were likely not the release graphics. Riot often reuses graphics for new things until they create the final model for play testing purposes.

Hopefully its just an early iteration of perxie, I remember when they showed SG Zephyr months ago they said that wasn't the final asset.

If it is, that's actually really lazy and that little cat thing is the only reason I even purchased SG janna.

If the graphics in the initial runes reforged reveal were the same they were probably placeholder assets, so I wouldn't be worried in that case. That reveal had placeholder assets all over the place, what with lorem impsum and other stuff. If they revealed that they would be the same though sometime recently though then yeah, they need to be changed.

The graphics shown are not final, hence the WIP in the corner of almost every clip of footage for runes reforged.

I am hoping that this will be changed. Also, the main reason I posted this is because I would just like some confirmation from Riot that it will in fact be changed, as i have yet to see an official statement about this.
