AFK Players

I was just demoted after a Brand top in my game went afk for an extended period of time.

The enemy team had 8 turrets by 17 minutes and Brand comes back confused as to why we’re mad at him.

His lane opponent, a Gnar, has gotten fed beyond belief from free farming at this point.

We surrendered as they tore down our inhibitors at 20 min.

In the post-game chat, Brand told us that we should have hugged our turrets and our Jungle should have covered top. He told us that this was our fault.

When we told him that this was pretty much his fault, he laughed and began to trash talk us.

We reported him.

This guy isn’t going to get banned for this. I know that already. Riot doesn’t care enough about minor “infractions.”

People act like total jerks all the time, and nobody cares. It sucks, and I’m sad I’ve wasted all of this time and money on a game I’ve grown to hate because of its toxic community.

Will I continue to play? Probably.

The only reason is because I’ve spent so much of my life on it that I’m scared it’s all for nothing. I try so hard to have fun because I’ve invested so much in it, but it’s not a fun game. It’s stressful.
