We need to add another placement for ranking

Their should be a level under Bronze 5, Wood 1-5 for all the toxic players to fight eachother so that the rest of us normal players can have a good game

no. they should just make Silver the bottom and remove bronze

Ranks are all cosmetic anyway and don't influence anything except who you can queue with and what rewards you get.

MMR is what actually matters, so bronze 5's with super low mmr are all facing each other and not the middle bronze 5's who are all facing each other. Although theres a lot of systems in place to try to keep mmr roughly in sync with rank, there are people who intentionally avoid ranking up (by way of a lot of dodging) in order to be bronze while in diamond+ matches, since mmr is what matters for matchmaking.

In other words, the 'wood 5' people are already facing almost exclusively other 'wood 5' people, the wood 1's are mostly facing wood 2's, wood 1's, and bronze 5s, and so on.

Sometimes it can be hard to believe that you're on the same level as some of your teammates, but different people have different things holding them back. Plenty of people with relatively decent mechanics/decision making who have attitudes holding them back, others have ok attitudes and have the right ideas in terms of decisions but are mechanically inept, and so on. Still, if you're in a match with someone, it means you have a comparable mmr to them for whatever reason, and no amount of cosmetic ranks would change them from being in games with you.
