Does this happen to anyone else

Whenever I go against a Heimerdinger or I'm playing Heimerdinger (Don't hate me lol) and whenever the turrents attack a champion they keep shooting the target even when out of range. The turrents ghost projectiles (that's what I call them) don't do any damage or apply on hit affects but it's so weird and random, I was wondering if anyone also experience this or is it just me.
