Is Urgot OP?
My friend is an Urgot main. My other friend got his ass kicked by him and is now saying he is insanely OP. I know this is an extremely false statement, but I need back up from the community.

Urgot is best champion in League of Legends and arguably cutest.
urgot is good 1v1, but that's about it. he doesn't offer much to a team.
Any champion that gets fed, is goint to be strong, not op.
Also if you pick a champion that is countered, you will have a hard time in lane with them.
Urgot is a decent champion and nothing more.
Graves is op, vayne if laned against certain certain adc can be op, but all champions, even the op ones have their counterpicks
He's awesome in Twisted Treeline. The map size and the less amount of champion CC (3v3) make him shine just a tad more.

Yeah... there is no solid argument here whatsoever. Your friend got beat by someone who has had the practice with Urgot... that's like saying Sona is OP because she poked down a Blitzcrank in lane, or saying any champion is OP after they got fed in a game.
He's definitely OP I played against him top as Nasus and lost lane horribly wtf lol
Urgot is only OP in the right hands. The unbelievers are not granted the great gifts of the mighty Urgot, but the most loyal disciples have learned and been gifted with untold glory and conquest. Now rito has increased the power of this great and might god. His influence will one day control all of existence. Join with him now before you become one of the conquered.
His weaknesses include but not limited by: Low mobility Low burst Mainly single target abilities Kit requires him to land something that is similar to vel knock up His strengths are: High harass Reposition for high priority target Moderately tanky in 1v1 Single target cc(slow) Relatively moderate to low cool downs. Overall I think he is balanced and riot has done a good job is rebalancing him to have obvious weaknesses and strengths.
He's definitely not OP. Just understand where his power spikes are, which isn't hard, there's only one or two ways to build the crabgod, and don't 1v1 him during those periods. A good Urgot can 1v2 a lot of match ups due to being able to focus DPS a single target and fast while putting out a lot of damage reduction, but when you get to actual teamfights things are really against you. While Urgot is definitely tanky, he isn't a tank, so being non-mobile at medium range to get your charge off will often mean dying relatively quickly. Basically, the guy's laning is [crab]godlike, but teamfighting is rather difficult.
I generally like to splitpush with him, then when they send one or two people to stop me my team can win the 4v4/4v3 while I either get a double kill, go one for one, or stall long enough for my team to win anyways.

Oh man, I remember the old hypercarry meta. Urgot existed only to trade places with them. Might actually work pretty well in our current Vayne circlejerk. Full armor pen, full cooldown, beefy Urgot does far more damage than any nonbelieving profligate would give him credit for. Few have seen the glory of Urgot unleashed to his full potential though.
