Is League of Legends Ban System really working efficiently?
To begin with: I understand that making a system that actively seeks out what seems to be a never ending stream of toxic/raging/afk/trolling feeding people seems improbable, but there has to be a better answer than this.
I was playing a game of League of Legends when this person in Champ select autolocked. I said to myself, ok let's not panic just play the game out let him play. Once in game without mentioning any words whatsoever this player began
and
into the enemy turrets. My team was not toxic to him at first we asked him what was wrong. Next thing you know he's 0-20 literally minutes into the game. Now I understand this is part of League of Legends, and it "happens". However, what I decided to do next and found out is what shocked me.
....after waiting 20mins to surrender the 2-45 with a 0-30 player game that we lost. We all decided to report(on our team, the enemy team infact honored him for giving them "freelo")
I decided to track this player down and see just how long will his behavior be deemed acceptable. There is so much grey area where I find if you play League of Legends, you can find it to be the most mannerness/raging/toxic community to be found in any realm of gaming but Riot continues to suggest that they are attempting to fix this. The results....30 + games, 250 players, every game
into towers..before ANYTHING was done. This is what fuels the disease of insubordinate players in League, the passive approach to Riot actually taking a hard step forward and saying "Our bottom line"(money) isn't as important as our community. However, every day, that I find myself playing, every game, and every champ select more and more players continue to rage. Today I tried not talking at all in fear of setting anyone off for 5 games, in 5 games I had either an intentionally feeder, an AFK . This is not based off a small sample size from my point of view, ive played thousands of games on League and I must say in my opinion this is the worst community of gamers I have ever encountered in my lifetime of gaming(I've been gaming since Starcraft came out) and it seems that Riot simply does not care for their community over the money of new players coming in.
My suggestion: Harshen the punishments, if players are having a bad day, ban them for that day, it's not worth the ripple effect and plagues this game, to the point I might join one of my many groups of friends I know who have quit league all together, because of the community and lack of propriety.
I hope those who read this, give meaningful feedback and perhaps even share their experiences playing this game as this is only mine
