What will Riot do with PYKE?

The dude is too risky for any support to use him when there is other supports like Brand who can burst him as an enemy support. There is also Tankier champs who have a similar and/or better kit than him Alistar Nautilus Thresh Leona . I think what really ruins him is his inability of gaining HP from his passive. It just makes him such a risk that no support feels comfortable in trying to set up plays in the front line to secure the win for the team when he can get one shotted. The worst part about him is that if he falls off he is USELESS. If Thresh falls off he can still scale from his passive and continue to pick up HP items to be an effective tank.

RIOT:

You need to re-evaluate his passive and give him something in terms of increasing his hp by an understandable %. If not then evaluate his escapes and damage to make him worth the assassin role for supports. Until then he sits with Mordekaiser on the bench.

Pyke is currently one of the only balanced champs in this game, if you don't consider him OP which i'm sure some will. I'd leave him alone, he's at a really good sweet spot of not being overbearing or underpowered.

Pyke is currently in a pretty balanced state.

My guess is they will modify his AD growth, which tbh is on the weak side. Wouldn't affect his gameplay much, but would reward hits a little better and make his damage more on par with other hook/control supports/champs.

He spends so much of his sacrificed HP just making up the missing AD that other champs already get for free.

I don't see them buffing R, or Q, or W. Maybe a slightly longer E stun. Dunno.

Whatever it will be, it's probably a minor tweak, not a huge change.

Pyke is in a good spot right now. Just depends on champion and skill match ups and elo's.

He is in a good spot, but I am still disappointed with his design
