Leaverbuster Tweak

I'm not sure if this falls in this category (it can be moved later... right?). Anyways, on with my thoughts. My LoL Client can tell me when I've disconnected or lost internet connection sooner than my own network can figure that out. Additionally, my LoL Client has a ping counter can is updated very regularly and is fairly accurate (I tested it against using CMD and using the command "ping www.leagueoflegends.com". Leaverbuster is a good thing for getting rid of people that intentionally rage-quit (RQ) and/or leave. However, it also generates unfortunate false-positives as it also catches people who just have miserable internet connection. I've been decently lucky, suffering nothing worse than a 5 minute game restriction after I had failed to pick my champ in champ select in a ranked game due to my connection to the game just dying terribly. But I digress. I'm sure there are people that have had serious consequences or punishments just because they want to play the game, but they don't have super amazing internet connection. They're playing because they want to play (and have no reason to leave), but their internet crashes or their connection fizzes, or they have a dropped packet or something along those lines, and they disconnect from the game. And if their issue isn't resolved by the end of the game, then Leaverbuster puts them in the "left the game" category and then penalizes them for it.

So this is what I'm suggesting. And I'm not sure if it's possible or not. If my LoL Client is able to tell the difference between "Leaving the Game" and "Losing Connection", can't the Client inform the server that the loss of connection to the game was as a result of powers beyond the players control? Now this may sound paradoxical, as you might ask, "But if connection was lost, then how would the Client communicate with the Server?". Well I think the fact that the Client isn't able to communicate with the Server is already sufficient information. After all, the game has cookies installed in the computer (there are cookies installed... right? .-.). The LoL Client is able to tell the Server if the game was left, because it would still have connection with the Server, and be able to say "So and so left the game". However, if the internet just crashes, and then the game ends, the LoL Client would be unable to tell the Server what happened, which is enough information for the Server to deduce that the game wasn't "left".

Again, I'm not sure if this is possible to implement, but I feel that it would be a great thing for people that play in a poor-connection/high-ping environment. For me, sometimes, I really want to play LoL, but my ping would act up and I would be afraid to cue up because I don't want to get banned by Leaverbuster. Please leave your thoughts below, floppy1000

TL;DR: Can we make Leaverbuster not punish people that play in poor-connection/high-ping environments?

Whether you consistently leave on purpose by poor internet you're still ruining the game.

Someone leaving due to poor internet is still leaving. Not a false positive, when it's true. If your internet cannot sustain a connection, it's better for you to not play Online games.
