Anybody else feel really squishy right now?

As the title says, I feel like I'm getting vaporized by everything, even when I build tank stats I'm getting shredded like they aren't even there.

I don't know if it's too early to call for buffs to resolve tree runes, but the game has become pretty brutal in terms of damage and I kinda want something to counteract it.

No, it's not. Resolve is fucking pathetic.

If it's going to be the only defensive tree it should offer good defence. I don't even mind if the tree is completely devoid of utility and offensive options and it only offers straight defensive abilities outside of Grasp.

The weak utility options in the tree like Second Wind, Revitalise, Font, Demolish and Perseverance need to be worked on or just straight up replaced and the two runes which are just mathematically inferior in Iron Skin and Mirror Shell need to be replaced. We need options that will grant real durability when you take Resolve either as a splash or as a primary tree, especially since it's the only place where such options realistically exist considering Celestial Body is a complete joke.

They buffed lethality on items for Gods know what reason, created a small rune that gives 10 more whenever you use a dash/stealth, changed thunderlords to Electrocute with more damage and turning it in adaptive damage (So it benefits from lethality as an AD champion), didn't gave half of the champion pool more base armour, and created terrible defensive rune options.

What did they think was going to happen...

I don't think it's damage going up but rather defenses going down. I would normally take veteran scars (+50 HP) and scaling health yellow because enchanters have like the lowest base HP. The difference is really noticable, starting with only 500 HP and getting less per lvl, I survive much less than before. Have a good day

I agree, it feels like I've been taking/doing more damage with this update. I guess it's part of RIot's way of making the games go by faster.

I was WW with 220 armor yesterday, and an Ezreal with no pen (no LW, nothing) could kill me before I could even press my R.

Tanks are in a terrible state imo, the only class that got something good from the new runes is adcs, as always.

Damage is fine. Tankiness sucks right now.

(That's an important distinction for me, because I'm okay with the squishy champs dying. Tanks should be able to weather the storm, though, and right now that doesn't seem to be happening enough.)

Damage way too damn high. Watching some streams people dying in 2 hits. Towers downed in a second

Level 4 Warwick going to gank bot lane, full health and ran into Lulu who Q, auto, auto, poly, auto me and I'm down to 20%. Nevermind on that gank Faced a kayle with the 80% attack speed keystone which goes over cap and with 2 items shredding the entire team in the duration of her ult, attacks were so fast the champ had no attack animation - arm just twitched slightly

Damage is not that high technically. The problem is no one has access to armor runes and masteries any more. While Riot did give almost everyone bonus armor, it really only accounted for the runes and not the runes + masteries it seems. Plus, a lot of people got 5 more damage on each ability for wave clear, which in turn means 15 more damage on a basic rotation. That combined with no access to things like Veteran Scars means people are looking at ~50 less life and 15 more damage incoming at the start.

Also, most new runes seem designed around burst damage or poke. There isn't much in the way of sustained combat any more. So that all combined with the new runes means people are bursting hard instead of having longer battles.

They just made me feed on my main (support, Leona). My AD feels less, my health definitely feels less, I was pushed out of lane, and the roaming I did, didn't let overgrowth trigger. I barely survived a 3v2 against enemies that were feeding.

Am I not suposed to roam? Am I suposed to AFK in base to refrain from feeding because my stats were conditional (which I have no choice in) and I didn't get them? There's no 'SAFE' way to tank for your team!

Played 4 games a duo, as Varus and Karma. 3 games over in 24 or less minutes, one being a good 16 minute surrender. So much damage in the combo that no one could fight back. Didnt need a sightstone as support cause no one could contest us pushing. No planning now for fights, just pushing forward.

I died 2 min into my first game because I got hit with a sivir Q > Nami Q > aa aa as sona. I normally ran a lot of armor runes for my support page, and totally forgot about that. Before that would have maybe half healthed me?

There's also the player problem adding to it, from what I've seen. Almost every player is going pure glass cannon on snowball burst champs.

yeah damage is a little to high. i played talon and the enemy sion i was able to burst down faster then our adc. he had over 200 armor

It's bad when you go tank into a full AD comp...get basically all armor and HP items....item 3035 and it's variants make the armor completely worthless.

That being said. Riot forgot that we are losing all those base stats from the lack of the old runes. So any of the armor and resistance we used to stack for early game is gone completely. Instead its replaced by a +5 or a +8 & 5% but only after the 10 minute mark. We're basically all running around with no clothes on stabbing people with empowered items.

Tank runes are nearly nonexistent, with the emphasis being on bruisers and juggernauts instead of true tanks.

Couple that with the fact all tank items were nerfed during the vanguard regression "update", and this is what we get. Tanks are not allowed to be most effective because watching someone try in vain to kill another human player doesn't do well for advertisement towards new players.

Instead of buffing tank stats they just need to nerf damage stats This way towers won't suffer, and tanks last longer in fights

Rune damage doesn't deal much. Ability damage and AAs deals a LOT more than before.

Everyone is building damage because it's pre-season and nobody cares....

I been playing tanks like Maokai and Juggernauts like Nasus and Yorick.

I haven't felt too squishy yet honestly.

I played couple of games as squishy junglers(MasterYi Khazix ) and yeah I kinda felt squishy, taking heavy burst in very short time from not so fed enemies. a 8-11 Rengar easy 1v1 killed my 11-7 Kha'zix, and Rengar was using Press the attack keystone.

To counter this and die not so often so easily....you play smart, and don't show up unless you are 100% sure the enemy team's damage threat left on the map is not bigger than yours

Biggest problem that nobody is accounting for, at least here on the boards, is that we aren't using the same Runes and Masteries system we were 3 days ago. That means we start with less health, armor, and magic resist than we did before. So everything hits harder, and everyone dies faster.

I'm actually defending Riot here because I know the issue - the game just received a fundamental change to the things most of us took for granted (Runes and Masteries). Give it time, and things will even out (hopefully).
