Leaver Compensation

Will we ever get compensated for players on our team leaving. Even a single IP and I would be a lot less upset that 20% of my team decided to leave a match. Right now it seems like the only compensation you get is the other team continuing to play as if its 5v5 so that on top of someone leaving and making it less fun, they are also making the game less fun. Over all leavers are just less fun and nothing else Riot, why do we get nothing positive back from it to compensate?
