Why won't people use Orianna???

Orianna is one of the strongest champions I ever played and I don't know why people are using her. People usually use Katarina or Yasuo or something op or whatever. Why not Orianna? I know some use Orianna but it's rare to see so. She is really op and contributes a lot to team fights. She has a stun, a slow, and both of those are AoE. She has a shield and her ball can provide vision. She can help allies escape and chase a enemies. She's a really good mid laner and support. I just don't get why people don't use her a lot.

First off, orianna does not have a stun, it is an AoE knockup, and because at this point in time, there are champions who do her job better. Annie Syndra have more utility to offer imo. Also, no she isn't a support. She CAN be, but it is a waste to put her as one because it is hardly viable.

Orianna just needs a good player to play her. Shes a really really good champ dont let anyone tell you otherwise

They will... once she yet again comes out during worlds and completely dominates. Which happens literally every year.

Some reasons why:

She's been made obsolete by Azir - he outranges, outscales in terms of damage and has just as much playmaking potential.
She takes an very large amount of games to get good on, which can be spent learning the standard picks instead (Viktor, Azir, Taliyah, Vlad, etc)
She really doesnt come online before her second item, and has minimal game presence before that in comparison. Back when she was a constant pick, that wasnt an issue, but these days it is a vulnerability that you can bet your ass people will exploit.
She in general just isnt as good at waveclear compared to Viktor or Azir.

I would personally love to see her back in the meta, but she just does too little without being a facet of a very specialized comp to work as a general pick. If you're gonna run her with Malphite or Ali she might be respectable but she is definitely isnt plug and play.
