  3. know what to build or a main build to use most of the time
  4. Practice first in norms or PRACTICE TOOL
  5. If you really understand the champion then head on to ranked and profit.... maybe.

I'd recommend reading some guides too! MobaFire has a bad rep but I love it. I just stay away from some clearly trolling guides and I read multiple guides just to check how different people play their Champions.

And always, remember to tell the enemy team it was your first time on that champion after you beat them! Especially if you did well.
