Diamond players in silver

I'm going to start this off by saying I take ranked seriously whether or not its Flex or Solo, I know there are people that will flame for that but it's w/e I don't care about their opinion. I'm here to suggest a matchmaking balance issue. Players in solo Q that achieve a high rank lets say Diamond for example should not be able to flex with a player that is silver regardless of what their flex rank is.

So Diamond solo with a flex rank of silver shouldn't be able to play with say a player with solo rank gold and a flex rank silver. That duo is going to be paired with a bunch of gold players and the opposing team will get rolled by the Diamond player. This one is not fair matchmaking for the Gold team but also doesn't promote any learning for the silver player or the gold players because one is getting carried and the other is getting stomped.

So please just a suggestion players with a much higher solo ranked regardless of their flex rank shouldn't be able to play with people outside their solo Q elo in ranked.

rank is rank, eventually the higher skilled people will be out of your rank and you will get matched with people more equal to you

normally what qwerty19 is saying would be true, theoretically the diamond player who's in a much lower elo would repeatedly win and be gone. Unfortunately the community in league is not ideal. There are multiple different scenarios in which this player might intentionally "maintain" the silver elo. A couple examples would be for boosting and for the enjoyment of intentionally ruining games (which despite what riot may tell you, is unfortunately more common than you would think.) Players have been reporting match-making issues for quite a while to my knowledge and in my time playing the game so far, i haven't seen any "good efforts" into fixing it.
