Why do I get a loss when someone rage quits at five minutes?

I am in my placements. Seems pretty absurd that losing a 4v5 is somehow representative of my skill. Does anyone know why these games still count as loses? Riot literally has had years to figure this out.

They just need to make it a loss prevented if the person afk'd more than % of that game.
