I understand PBE Pyke changes, but why..

I understand that you want to encourage Pyke to build lethality and AD due to champ design and tank being kind of a problem, but there is an issue with the lethality scaling.

FORCING a champ to build the same 2 or 3 items in the shop everygame is the opposite of encouraging different builds. Its actually kind of worse than the forced item 3802 on mages or the forced item 3095 on adcs, since its so strong.

Pyke building item 3147 item 3142 has space for 2 other items, not counting item 1001 and sightstone. 1 of those two items would be item 3814 most of the time depending how this buff hits.

Wouldnt it be better to encourage AD rather than force lethality? And fix the main tank problems such as instant passive healing (and a lot of healing) and perhaps nerfing Aftershock to scaling more with base stats rather than adding raw stats. Remember Aftershock has been an issue on most squishies that take it (Fiddlesticks Lissandra Pyke ).

Just my thoughts on this, as i was hoping to pick up Pyke next season when i begin to play support again.

tbh, i Don't think tank/damage is his issue. Statwise i feel he's in a good spot. It's his healing that breaks him, you can't keep damage on him, I've been watching his buff/nerfs on PBE closely. I feel what he really needs is to slow his passive healing while unseen. if you chunk him down, fine let him heal up. Its what makes pyke pyke. However i feel he should be kicked out of sight longer than 3-4 seconds to regain that 80% hp back. he heals way too rapidly to get anything consistantly done to him, whats the use of poking him down for an all in if he just glides out of lane for a couple seconds and negates it. I'm fine with his damage, fine with him building tank or lethality, even fine with his execute.

He really just needs to have longer down time if he mispositions. He shouldn't be chunked down to 2% hp after getting a triple kill with ult resets only to leave a couple seconds and return to collect the last 2. Like, come on. .-. Its fine he got that triple using his mechanics to execute over and over. but he still needs down time to be punished for over extending.

His scalings already DO encourage AD.

Problem is, they lean more towards "tanky AD" since Pyke gains AD based on bonus Health he would've gained, and he's pretty durable by default as it is.

Adding lethality scalings reduces Pyke's overall safety by making him less functional when building tank.

He just has to build AD. Fuck Tank Pyke

Do you mean aftershock when you say guardian?

I think Pyke's biggest issue is the tank boss status he has. He's so much more than the newest form of Sejuani was proposed to be. Sure, he's a tank/assassin. But his slipperiness, combine it with 1-2 extra tanks on his team, and all of a sudden he becomes immortal.

I think his stealth needs to be reworked. There needs to be meaningful delay on it. He can harass ranged champs and they literally can't kill him. As soon as he presses his stealth key, he's just gone.

That's not the only thing they could change about him, they could hit some other areas, or hit that area differently...but I don't like the idea of hitting his passive. I feel like his passive is really cool and they did a good job on it. Fix something that is actually broken on him instead of everything that isn't broken.

I know ADCs will complain about the AD+armor builds...all in one item too many GAs...but that's not why they can't beat him. There are a lot of ADCs that can deal with Pyke's unique itemization. The issue is they can't deal with his kit because he just escapes every time. They should be melee ADCs or even melee APCs that bring Pyke down. If they aren't, they've only themselves to blame. I bet he's part of why Diana has become so popular lately.
