Created another acount to see how bad the botting is

It's bad. Really bad. Every game played so far has at least one bot. The deal is the same. Player does not call lane. Player goes straight to uncalled lane and ignores all pings, requests to go to open lane. Player moves to certain spot after respawn and autos everything, even under enemy tower. Feed and repeat. I have only seen 2 instances where the opposing team had a bot and every game I have played has one. So it's luck of the draw on who has the least bots?

This problem seems pandemic and I can see no solution. You can report them, but they are sub 30 level bots, easy to remake and do the same. No real loss if reports catch them.

This almost makes buying ip boosts mandatory (if you choose the high road and not bot yourself, or are just inept with such technology like me) just to get more than 40-50 ip per game.

It's really crappy, but it seems like all online games eventually come to this point. Has Riot even addressed that this is more than a small problem? Links would be nice if anyone knows of them. I see many posts about this problem concerning sub-30 leveling especially on Arams, but I have yet to see Riot chime in on them, or even address that it is an issue. I didn't really believe it was that bad until I made another account to see for myself.

Or you could, you know, win like three games and your MMR is high enough to not have bots in your games...

how would a new player know how to call lanes or even know how to react to pings? also new players will auto everything in sight, they have no idea of what pushing the wave does nor what wave management is. What you are complaining is new players learning how to play the game

Yes, they have addressed it multiple times. The price reduction on base runes 2 years ago, the reduction of the xp to 30 (a year+ ago), and the current work on Runes are all steps towards making 1-30 better for newer players and thus reducing the demand for botted accounts.

There's a ton if you type into the boards searchbar "bot accounts" or "account buying" and then tick the "Has Riot Comments" box.

They remove the accounts as they catch them (but in waves so it's harder for the botters to tell what was detected in the program), and the new feeder detection they are releasing soon will assist them in catching them sooner.

The problem has always been needing to err on the safe side since new players and bots can be confused with one-another, and they didn't want to increase the chance of false positives. Therefore, player reports are a safe way to double-check, since they can also write in the behaviour observed in-game as an indication of a bot.

I made a new account and by the time I got it to ~level 8 it seemed to have filtered me away from all the bots
