Is there a specific reason why Riot is changing every on-hit bruiser?

Since i first started League I was always very interested in on-hit champs like Master Yi, Jax, Irelia, Aatrox, Kog'Maw and so on. But now I have realised that Riot keeps reworking these champs and I'm scared by now that their acutal aim is to remove this playstyle. They have reworked Aatrox and Irelia so that their On-Hit Playstyle is removed... 2 Champs I really loved. A rework for Nocturne is coming and I guess they are planning the same on him. What are your thoughts?

Because Riot cannot balance on hit at all?

Aatrox at then end was basicly just a rightclick champ. Irelia never was a heavy on hitter, except of wickeds onhit, which was quite a long time ago. They want to make a champ more than rightclick. Also irelia still has the same amount of onhit. Her passive is onhit magic damage instead of her w and her q still applies on hit effects.

If u think u could win games with Aatrox if ur just rightclicking ur wrong ^^ I really loved the mechanic of his passive and how u had to play around that... He maybe was not hard compared to riven or Zed etc. but he was not a nobrainer :) And Irelia kinda was Onhit based, she was strong with a Bork and her W was only onhit

After rageblade you only had to w on damage and rightclick. I did play quite a bit of aatrox before the rework.
