An odd question about the community's feelings towards Riot Zenon and his creations.

I find it weird that whenever someone brings up a kit-related post about Azir or Taliyah, why is it instantly shot down with a simple "Git Gud." statement or a "Your champion is op and doesn't deserve anything." blurt. Such as when Azir's winrate is 42%, people disregard it as nothing. Or when Taliyah's entire kit is thrown into clunky and imbalanced shambles and people just tell her playerbase to learn her again after 2 months of doing so.

Maybe it's because that these two have underwent severe changes demanded by the community, but where did the stigma come from? It's odd to be unable to speak out of the mind because people don't allow it for reasons.

The Boards simply think any mage main is some mindless button pressing gorilla and that we don't deserve nice things. Frankly I find it funny because crap like Ekko is allowed to run free, while he's just as busted as Azir and his only excuse is "he takes skill."

But can't we discuss about how to make them healthier for both the player and the opponent? That never happens since people will just go straight to the fact that they're good and therefore are fine, which is not very true at the moment.

If I recall, Taliyah was considered garbage and people wanted her to be better prior to patch 6.10. Now that she's too good, can't we discuss about how to make her less powerful and more responsive overall?

she's not overbearing or oppressive, just a high-skill cap and heavily mechanical champion with the potential to be very good with, and rewards well for the steep skill curve, when it does, the low-mechanics press button to make siht happen OTPs flood the boards and reddit clamoring for nerfs like a herd of rabid peasant zombies. Right now she's following Azir's path, shit-tier soloq champ who's only viable for LCS, very few OTPs will play her and they will dick people in soloquee with her and this will still keep the circlejerk fueled until she gets thrown into the trashtier pit with Azir and Kalista.

And for the record it's common/basic sense not to actually come to the boards to look for balancing insight, it's a bandwagon around here, every week they have a champ/item to QQ about.

She is actually, in lane to precise. Her entire MO in lane is to constantly waveclear with Q while leading people into your EW combo. This doesn't ease up until there's simply too much Worked Ground for her to get a full, and it gets pretty annoying when you're constantly pressured under tower.

Otherwise, everything else is true, she's pretty much either useless or amazing outside the lane experience depending on the player.

I mean, where else is there to go lol. Reddit isn't any better since people said "Does Taliyah even need a proper indicator on her W?" when I asked why doesn't her W have a proper indicator even after 3 patches. I was mindblown when people asked that. Like of course a skill needs a proper indicator. Especially if it's a champ's main CC skill.

People also keep chiming in on her W applications even though they clearly haven't played her enough to know it's full potential. Such as saying how her W knockup was useless even though I have caused more deaths without it in the past weeks. Or saying how her Vector Casting method is perfect even though it is clunkier than before. Eyes aren't even required to see it.

No champion has ever gotten me as hyped for a release as Azir. I loved the lore and the kit. When he came out in season 4 i adored thag buggy mess and played him exclusively for months. The only time i stopped was the last patch of season 4 when he didn't even have any form of an ult (and only because friends refused to enter into. A game with that.

Riot has removed so many things from his kit he feels lile a husk of his former self. They refused to address the balance issues with him and instead just removed luttles bjts from Him left right snd center. I can still do well with him but i can't enjoy himanymore its just so disappointing and i hate what riots done to him.

I kinda felt the same way with Taliyah. I didn't care if she sucked and everyone hated me for playing her. I practiced her in Norms and took her into Ranked in a heartbeat. Then July came around and on the 13th of July, I took her into ranked and noticed how horrible she felt altogether. I'm like "Wut." and instantly came to these boards after leaving them for 3 years, seeing what has actually happened. Of course, people opposed Taliyah players like a plague for unknown reasons really and said Vector Casting was great even though it really wasn't. That reason is what I'm trying to figure out here.

It's difficult because they are such high skill capped champions. When they're first released people typically perform subpar with the 50+ games it takes to learn them. Once people figure them out though then they need to be nerfed to compensate. You also have the issue of high skill capped players vs lower ones and how to balance that out.

I hope RIOT keeps releasing unique champions as those though. Yes it's gonna be a bitch to balance but at least the game will remain fun.

Except Azir was never good in solo queue. Even pro players struggled to get above a 50% winrate with Azir and that's before the 6.14 nerfs.
