CAN WE NERF IGNITED ALREADY?

So Im gonna get something out of the way real quick. There are 10 players in each summoners rift game. 2 of these are junglers and will take smite. That leaves 8 others players free to choose 1 summoner spell (As most of the time flash is mandatory). So why is it I always see ignite taken by 5-6 of these players? Generally why is this one summoner granted so much power that 3/4 of the players in my game CONSISTENTLY take it. And this isn't like summoner 12 or summoner 3 where you need the tiniest braincell to correctly use them at the correct time. NO. This is UNDODGEABLE, POINT AND CLICK TRUE DAMAGE WITH A GRIEVOUS WOUNDS DEBUFF. Did I mention it deals 80-505 true damage? Cause it does. And just for example lets take some references:

Draven a champ that has 2070 max hp at lvl 18

Nasus a champ that has 2091 max hp at lvl 18

Malphite a champ that has 2104 max hp at lvl 18

The pattern is, ignite is constantly dealing 1/4 of a champions hp. For cases like Nasus, it also reduces his healing, potentially doing more 'damage' (Reducing healing can be considered, in a weird way, damaging your opponent).

Lets compare this to some defensive summoners, it is on a 210 second cool down, less than defensive spells like summoner 7, which has a 60 second higher cool down, and is countered duo to ignite reducing summoner 7 heal.

summoner 21 has a 180 second cool down, 30 seconds less than ignite, but only lasts 2 seconds, less than half of ignites duration.

My point for this thread is, Ignite should not be a must take summoner that will most likely double your kill pressure in lane, even more so its incredibly easy to pull off, unlike exhaust or teleport ( I know these are not hard to use but at least there is some strategy in their usage). With ignite, you can click on almost anyone and are guaranteed to have some impact. My suggestion is nerf its cool down to 270, on par with heal. As I have not seen anyone post about ignite in a long time, perhaps it is bias from the only toplanar left that doesn't take ignite, but seeing both supports, midlands and toplaners take ignite on both teams is annoying.

Next time you die, open your death card, more often than not there was an ignite involved.

The CD should be higher, but the damage shouldn't change, if ignite were to be nerfed in dmg then their would be no reason to take it into lane anymore therefore ruining it. This is why both mid laners usually take ignite. If you or your teammate decides to not take ignite for any reason then that's on you, not the spell. Ignite is neccessary for killing people who have huge healing/lifesteal if your champion doesn't have a kit that will work well with the items that inflict grevious wounds.

I can't turn around without seeing someone complain about ignite. This is like one of those Unpopular Opinion threads that everyone agrees with.
