She can't buy Ravenous or Titanic Hydra. It literally just disappears when she does.

I know. A bug like that you would think is because of the item itself not because of Shyvana.

We recently updated how champions are flagged as ranged or melee to make it easier to develop items/mechanics that only work for one type. When implementing that new system someone forgot that Shyvana's dragon form needed to be flagged as melee separately from her human form, hence this bug.

Ah, makes sense, so what does that mean for Champions like Elise who is Melee when in Spider form? Could something like this happen for someone like her as well?

It could, if they're not properly updated. Looking through the files it looks like Gnar, Elise, Jayce, Kayle all got flagged as having the appropriate attack type depending on their form. I'm guessing whoever did the update just forgot Shyvana needed to be tagged as melee in both forms, not just human.

No, the problem she was tagged as neither (at least in part). Presumably, the same bug would have occurred for Runaan's, because the game can't find which version of the item (the melee or range) to give her when she buys it. That simply wasn't the the reported one because not many people buy a hurrican for shyv.

I can see that being an easy mistake, as (I think) she is the only transforming champion that doesn't switch between melee/ranged.

Unless Nasus and Renekton count..?

Also, thank you for answering in a 'why was (champ) disabled' thread.

I notice most red's avoid them for..reasons I don't get? I mean I can understand if a champ is bugged, but not disable tier bugged, you'd want to avoid people knowing about the bug/less abuse cases. But if a champ is already disabled and not planning on re-enabling them till they're fixed, I never understood why red's avoid telling why they were disabled.

Did the stance on that change, or does your reply not count as specifically telling what the bug was, because Ace of Eden said it?

It sounds like it should be a simple fix, how long will it take to get her back up and running? I really don't want to wait until the next patch to play my dragon lady...
