Okay so this thing GOD this champ for whatever reason with the update to his kit it has become my favorite champion! and i'm not really sure what does it to make me love him so much ( do not look at my game history it is sad and tragic) okay before you get any ideas I AM BRONZE TRASH technically bronze 3 right now I was bronze 1 last season although I didn't play too too too much. I do believe I am learning the game learning how to abuse advantages and win lanes and such so I think I am steadily improving. So back to Dar Dar this champ is appealing because one he is so damn MANLY THIS MAN PULLS YOU IN USING HIS AXE BLADE and ya know I got the Dunkmaster Darius skin but honestly sometimes I liked the original skin better because I love seeing the giant AXE AND THE BLOOD GUSHING FROM MY ULTIMATE. Although most people hate me because I main this seemingly easy lane winning brute of a champ I love this champ no matter what. For anyone wondering I don't go full cheese and take I usually just take &

Some people tend to group Darius as a no skill champ just auto and press R and just an easy pentakill machine. Atleast from the elo I am in basically I know higher elo Darius gets kited to hell.

Maokai Is a sick champ loved him as a character I believe you can beat Darius pretty easily if you know where your and his strengths lie Darius lack of mobility can give way for a disrupter like THE TREE to hold him down for easy ganks and kite for his team and most Darius's tend to push the enemy under tower Maokai has no problem with farming under tower as a tank champ.

well the mana cost on his Q hurts more now and they took away the splash damage on his E so you cant effectively farm with it like you use to...

the key to the match up is just dont fight darius jsut disengage and farm if he goes in ... you can out farm him, you out scale him and more effective team fights

Yeah Darius seems to be very snowball efficient and can be kited and starved I was kind of saddened by the sudden Maokai nerfs as I wanted to try out the champ because I genuinely like his tank play style, but now I might not. Most time unless you can easily burst and escape you will lose to Darius in any extended trade because of bleed and 5 stack passive.

and make him suffer

im not happy about the E change... it makes no point to level it at all ... it was a one point wonder ability ...

i can see the mana cost on q now that it scales per rank.. not a big deal considering the items you get

exhaust is pretty big against Darius especially if you exhaust his ult that will just destroy his damage. I like Darius because you counter him by conceding and most people are to stubborn to concede.

I may be wrong, but I don't think true damage is reduced by Exhaust. So if you have enough stacks of the bleed on your opponent, your ultimate shouldn't be reduced by Exhaust.

I was placed in bronze 1 and am now in silver 5 (almost 4) using only Azir . I have almost 200k mastery points now..I don't play ranked that much though, before I ever went into a ranked game it was like 200 or something normal games, idk. My MMR is silver 3 op.gg says.

The only downside to this is that I can't hover my champion since someone will ban him, which is rare but I don't really hover in the ban phase just to be safe.

I agree, no reason to play Leblanc just because she's "OP" or whatever, I find it actually fun to get good at a champion you find fun instead of following the 5 meta champions with the op builds that take little to no skill guaranteed to get you into challenjour. And then you gotta take the time to learn how to play the champion in the first place, I agree diversity in your champion pool is good and all but after you escape bronze playing the champions considered op I doubt anyone is gonna climb higher since they don't have a real main that they can use in any situation.

I don't have any clue why your post is downvoted.

In ranked, I see off meta champions do horribly Karthus but I still see meta champions do just as bad if not worse. I guess your champion pick only really matters in competitive...or at least diamond or whatever. Certainly not bronze/silver.

I actually really liked Azir he is a very difficult champion to master or just play in general me trying to learn him just consisted of my friends laughing their asses off at me. Yeah it sucks to get banned out and in bronze Darius does tend to get banned a lot so I tend to fall back on some other champs such as Rumble Gnar Kled

I think my post is a little to wild for some people but I agree the meta is not always the best for you as a player yeah with lethality buffs I might get destroyed by every Jayce I fight but eventually I will learn to play smarter and win the lane or I will not advance I love the fact that League gives me a chance to play a champ I love and get wiser by defeat.

If I were going to one-trick Darius, and I've considered it, I think I'd get the pentakill icon and the chroma called Darius Forge Bronze. Technically, I've never been in Bronze because the one season I played Ranked I was placed straight into Silver and didn't play enough Ranked after placements to go either up or down, but since I play mostly low-elo Normal games, the Bronze skin (chroma) still seems appropriate. (And Darius is a good champion to get pentakills on, and the pentakill icon has a bronze axe in the picture. Hopefully you got that.)

But TwistedFate is the best. I'm not a true one-trick. I'm too self-conscious not to play other champions. (When I have a bad game on my main, it discourages me.)

yeah dunk master is nice and all but I really do like the chromas for his original skin the updated model is really nice. I thought Bioforge would be a pretty good alternate for dunkmaster whenever I feel the need to drop an axe and not a basketball. I like getting better at one champ Darius to me symbolizes the true warrior/juggernaut character which is awesome. If I go feed my ass off but I learn from the experience and get better I don't get embarrassed as much knowing I just learned a little bit.
