SETT NEEDS TO BE NERFED

Sett is ridiculously powerful. especially at low levels. His shield value at lvl 3 basically gives him a full bar of life and its not fair at all. I understand the concept but it basically mean he cant be 1v1ed. which is stupid. How is anyone other than a ranged or mage top lane suppose to do anything against him. Its stupid. and its literally driven me to the point where i don't really want to even play now because every game i'm in i'm against a sett. and you cant beat him, why? BECAUSE HE BASICALLY HAS !$)) HEALTH AT LVL 3 AND ITS STUPID

He is a juggernaut, a class of champions NOT meant to be dueled.

He is melee, kiting him is how you deal with him if you are ranged.

But since you don't want to play ranged against him then you could try picking an effective tank against him such as Ornn who excels at lane sustain as a result of his passive or Shen who can negate auto attacks, negating Sett's passive.

Otherwise, you could attempt to out sustain him with champions such as Yorick who can poke Sett down from a distance with his ghouls and cage Sett easily enough since Sett has no gap closers. Illaoi whose tentacle strikes heal her and her runes are all about healing (Conqueror, Triumph, Taste of Blood, and Ravenous Hunter). Darius whose Q heals him more and more based on how much HP he is missing and how many champions are struck by it; additionally, he excels at extended fights as a result of his passive that is not only a steroid for him, but also deals more damage than ignite when stacked.

As for Sett's shielding ability, it has a clear indicator of where it will effect enemies and can be avoided.

hes a juggernaut. just like darius he excels in fights. he is weak to kiting.

you can beat him in an all in if you flash his W. if he misses it, he's probably going to lose and die. or if you are playing a dash champion you save your dash for the W.

he is REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY SLOW. like really slow. its insane.

his shield falls off over 4 seconds fast. Its best to walk away for a few seconds before re-engaging after evading the W that can deal true damage in the middle. Unless he maxxed it its on a rather lengthy cooldown.

Grievous wounds puts his healing dead in its tracks. He also generally builds Health items which this game has champions Vayne and itemsitem 3153 item 3151 that deals with this. He is also melee with a horrible engage who can get kited easy especially against a decent Ashe - These items item 3123 item 3076 summoner 14 item 3165 and there are 3 champions that apply grievous wounds. Kled for example is a hard counter because of this since his bear trap applies Grievous wounds that reduces healing by a huge 60% when normally its 40%, Katarina while its tied to her ult she also applies a 60% grievous wounds as well. Varus being the last champion applies a 40% Grievous wounds on Hail of Arrows.

Of course Crowd Control is often the best way to deal with any champion. Renekton is also one of the easier champions to play as against a Sett. Sett needs to take damage before he uses his W. As a Renekton player it seems that you are, you should be able to land a combo and jump out before the stun ends and proceed to chip him away with hit and run tactics. Once you have him to half health he Has to play incredibly passive as he can't survive your burst. Get better.

The Fury empowered Renekton W (Ruthless Predator) destroys shields before dealing its damage. Therefore it does not matter how big the shield is.

If you dodge his W, then you should be fine. He gets very vulnerable with W down. Reengage when his shield falls off. Just always keep track of his bar or if he gets shiny. If he doesn't use his E, you should also worry about that because he could just E and then easy W you. Other than that, you should be worry about his ult around turrets because he can tower dive or pull you into his tower. Or he can just ult you into his minions so you get tons of minion damage. If its after laning phase, you worry about his ult if you have a lot of max health because he can carry you into your team for the impact damage.
