If you play yi alot, you ll notice, it a hidden nerf and not include in any patch, and it acceptable nerf when the new jungle monster was easier to regen. But the new patience system bring new face to the jungle, and i think it time to reverse the nerf. If it say untargetable, i should be safe until i done using my Q, but Yi keep dieing when he havent done any damage to enemy yet on his Q. WHY?

Romans VI XXIII1 votesI think there is actually something buggy/weird about if you die right when it ends you dont deal the damage. I have seen this a few times where a low health yi Qs then dies right after it ends and i would receive no damage. Its not that he got hit during it, its that he died as it ended. I believe there is a small period of target-ability before the spell actually ends, thus if he dies then it deals no damage similarly to other cast times on spells.
ModWulf Helhammer1 votesI think what it might be is he takes lethal damage in the instant he Qs, thus activating the untargetabity, but he already received the damage. So when he ends it (when it deals damage), he dies instantly, and no damage is done

No, You are wrong. AOE effects untargetable. Fizz can be hit by aoe when he hops on his spear.

Squidblimp1 votesThey didn't nerf him, BUT, there is a bug where Master Yi takes damage from AoE abilities sometimes while he is still untargetable. This is not intentional, and is a bug.
