I've been playing in a lot of games . . .Sett is the most broken champ I've ever seen. Sometimes his shield is almost even with his healthbar. . .the guy needs a serious nerf. We were beating a team solidly and Sett single-handed carried their team to victory. It took minimum 3 on Sett to defeat him and we were at even level with gear to take out his armor. Didn't matter. . .he could still take on 3 of us.
Du Ma Mi2 votesI think his shield/true damage is very strong, but I don't think he's broken. He's a juggernaut - he's supposed to be able to tank a lot of damage and deal a lot of damage if he gets near you. He does both of those things well, the same way Darius, Garen, and Mordekaiser do. He's easily kited, the same way all juggernauts are. His W shield/damage scales up as he takes damage, but decays immediately very quickly when he doesn't take damage, so if you hold your next auto for half a second he loses most of his damage and safety. I'm not saying this is ideal, but it isn't much different than buying a QSS and just cleansing Morde's ult every time he uses it, or buying a zhonyas so Zed's ult is useless - except holding your damage for a second costs significantly less gold.
Do I believe that he single-handedly beat your team? Yep. But only because I've seen games where an Ashe jungle singe-handedly carried my team. Any champion can get fed, or the player can play it very well, and they can basically 1v5 .
Just to clarify, I do think he could use some nerfs. But when a champion has such clearly defined strengths and weaknesses, I cannot, in good conscious, say they are "broken".
Ragnarok Tao1 votesi have to disagree with you. Sett is literally more oppressive than Darius by a long shot. I play almost nothing but top lane and only really Melee champs like Jax and Fiora. Sett literally cant be pushed out of lane, any trades that you win with him you really dont cause his health regen is on Garen lvls, he uses NO mana and his abilities are on similar cooldowns to Jax, his W is on a ridiculously low cooldown and can be spammed in lane, it also covers the entire lane, and once he has his BC he one shots you under your tower and walks out. it is NOT OK when at lvl 3 i cant even farm. Sett is extremely overtunned rn and against melee matchups cannot be beaten 1v1. he is not seeing the light of day in ANY of my games anymore until Riot nerfs him so you can at least win lane if you play well

The Whamboozler2 votesPeople are gonna downvote you because he's an anime champ and those have a billion defenders but... you're right. He brutally beats anyone dumb enough to get close to him, all but invalidating melee champs... and he HAS to be that way, since he has no other options beyond "walk up and punch". He's either taking your lunch money or punching you to oblivion and that's not very good design. Any champ you beat by counterpicking or lose to isn't a good design.
I'm aware he loses a few match ups, but he's also a VERY low skill champ, so he's destined to be a low elo terror and useless past the point where people know how not to play against him. And this is petty, but I hate how much cooler his design could have been but we just got a buff dude with cosplay ears. Fanservice for the folk who like hunks I guess... but c'mon! We coulda had Goro!
