Can someone explain why Ranked is a joke?

Serious question. Why is it a joke and how can I get better matchmaking? It seems like the other team always has the better matchmade team.

Just played several games. Each one has either an AFK, feeder, troll pick, or a rambo feeder.

Yes, I know the whole bs of "if you are good enough you should carry blablabla". But you can't carry when at 6 minutes the enemy team is up 10 kills because the laners decide to go ham. I know I'm not the best or one of the best or whatever, I know I make mistakes and have a lot to work on. But, the people I get paired with are just complete numbskulls. I don't want to be on a super strong team that carries me, but I'm sick of being on teams that drag me down.

I am buying pink wards, I am ganking, out-csing and even then I can't keep up because someone is feeding so hard and just snowballs the other team. What can I do then?

Should I just focus on stat-padding and hopefully that gives me a better team or something? Anyone have any ideas or tricks to get more competent players? Other than elo boosting? I want to climb legit.

You're not placed yet, so I'd say finish placements before you try to reconsider your strategy.

However, you do seem to be jungling more often than not? My best advice for that would be to focus on bot lane and focus on objectives. The new changes to how towers work (the first tower bonus gold, the lack of shielding on bot turret etc) make it a better place to gank than top or mid. Maybe as Lee, start in your bot lane, gank top and level 3 to try to snowball your top laner and then hit bot often and hard. The enemy jungler may go top to try to undo the damage you did earlier and that will allow you to take dragons or bot turret. Once you do that, you can play it by ear and try to show up where you're needed.

play carry junglers and splitpush all game, unless there is a clown fiesta that you know you can win (and that your adc won't be farming 2 meters away while your team is getting pounded 3v5 because the support is warding baron). Make sure the champ you play has a gtfo button (kha'zix, shyvana etc)

Ranked is a joke for the same reason that PvP in PvE games is populated entirely by 9-year-olds.

Kids want to supertryhard, adult players generally do not care. As a result low ranks are almost all children, who also happen to be bad at the game, as a bonus.

heres why ranked is a joke. me as a d2 got demoted twice. would u like to know how ?

the 1st demotion i was vs a 3 queue of scripters that admitted to it and are still not banned. we stood no chance vs them. the 2nd demotion my jungle and mid duo rq at 7 minutes because the mid died. i was 0-0-0 and i demoted off that game. i didnt get a chance to prove i wasnt worthy of the demotion, but since riot clumps everyone up together and gives them ALL the loss, it wouldnt matter. ive yet to play a game now ( this was about a month ago)

fuck ranked and fuck the system that holds it like it is.

Basically the idea of being at your elo with enough games is BS because you get so many outliers that crush your games with a constant stream of non-requirement-needed noob flooding. Then you get the people who grief on a constant basis. Then you get bugs.

It is NO COINCIDENCE that my drop from B2 to B5 is due to the Kled release with non-remake disconnections, IP farmers that never warmed up before, people who want to int when Kled is banned.

There really should be barriers between a new 30 and ranked.

The problem is that you took this game seriously. Big mistake. I've been playing this game for almost 5 years and realized very early on that neither the game nor the players were worthy of me trusting my ranked score with, so I've never played ranked seriously. If you have fun with this game then good, have your fun. Don't put any faith in it, don't stake anything you care about (like your ranked score, if you care about that). You'll only be disappointed.
