the trick is to play a carry unless either:

your teamcomp calls for something it needs youre in a duo (therefore playing a tank or something utility based is ok, provided the duo isnt a bonobo) when autofilled, accept you wont carry 100%, so just play a safer pick

Every Season has more and more Trolls in matches. The ELO system only works if all players are playing to win. Also the more players you have on a team for a ELO system the less reliable it is. If teams were 5 man Premades that didnt change for a season then ELO would work. But Ranked is a RNG on who is on your team with over 50% of games having a Troll or cheater in it and so the system is failing badly.
