Anybody else think Darius is op?

He does a lot of damage at low levels so you cant jump out ahead. He prevents you from farming because of his Q and E which give him the ability to kill you from range. He can build tanky and still do good damage into late game because his E gives him free armor penetration. He has a powerful ult which will execute you if you get low on hp. I just cant figure out what counters him. Can someone give me some tips against Darius top lane?

He's the only bruiser without some form of innate tankiness (whether through sustain or defensive steroids), and his base movement speed is lower than average because of his passive. Poke him, kite him, kill him.

He's a lane bully that falls off. Just pick someone with range and farm away. Don't get hooked and he won't kill you. Bring hp pots every back because you never know when that last tick is going to get you while you're walking away from the fight.

There's really no need to create multiple threads.....But anyways, yes most low lvl players(1-25) find that he seems like a broken champion, when in fact he isn't. What most Darius' do is do one damage item, then full tank. This is because he is completely irrelevant lategame besides being a person to catch people not grouping. Another thing, he is the king of melees(at least early game), so try to pick ranged against him. Also, when he Q's, be out of range. Don't be next to him, don't be next to the axe head, STAY OUT OF THAT RANGE. TLDR, he is easy to beat if you pick ranged, and or play VERY passively until lategame, where you will probably outscale Darius. Hope this helped!

Learning how to play against a Darius is an important step in improving at LoL, and for me it didn't happen until I reached mid-gold division. After I learned that Darius could be kited and disengaged, and learned how to pull these mechanics off in the game (as Nidalee, Annie, and Cho'Gath) I improved immensely.

If your having a hard time playing against him you're either consistently playing a countered lane match-up, or you need to improve your kiting, dodging and disengage.
