He does a lot of damage at low levels so you cant jump out ahead. He prevents you from farming because of his Q and E which give him the ability to kill you from range. He can build tanky and still do good damage into late game because his E gives him free armor penetration. He has a powerful ult which will execute you if you get low on hp. I just cant figure out what counters him. Can someone give me some tips against Darius top lane?
Fiachna1 votesI'm new to the game, but I have found that most of the Darius's I go against play aggressively and tend to push the lane. He doesn't have any escapes unless he has flash, so what I usually do is remind my jungler of that and wait until I can get a gank. My roommate plays Renekton against Darius and saves his W for when /if Darius pulls him in, and he always stays close to Darius until after he has used his Q to avoid the bonus damage from being on the outer edge....hope that helps.

Drunk Rummate1 votesA lot of it depends on the matchup. Ranged champions with any sort of mobility dump on darius. You poke him and there's nothing he can do about it.
Melee champs it's generally a skill matchup. Bait and/or dodge his spin attack and you can afford to fight him without necessarily losing the trade. If he lands his grab and then spin attacks on you, you're going to lose the fight so disengage asap and heal up.
I almost always play Riven top and Darius unfortunately beats the crap out of her. Despite this I can sometimes beat Darius players if I'm good about baiting their spin before I go in. Unless I get a 2 kill advantage and snowball I usually start losing after he finishes a piece of armor or two though, unfortunately.

Pelican Cove1 votes Absolutely dumpsters on Darius as you counter him at all stages of the game. Your range and poke can win the lane pre-6, post-6 you can counter the dunk.
Vicarious1171 votesPoke, kite, range basically. Any one of these three and Darius can't do a single thing against you.
For example, I play Rengar top a lot, so obviously one of the common picks against me is Darius. Obviously even with my strong early game damage I still can't jump onto Darius cause he will still do more damage, so unless I can maneuver a health advantage by working around his CDs when I hit lvl 4 I start maxing the bola, E.
It does a lot of early game damage and slows, so everytime Darius tries to walk up to me just bola his face, he takes a chunk of damage and can't get to me cause Darius is slow as f**k.
Sometimes there's no way to work around counters and you just have to farm and wait for help from the jungler, but as in my example there are plenty of ways to work around Darius himself for many champions.
BlackRaven1 votesbait how his q and u should then try to trade. after he uses his q the only thing he has is his w which wont do much if u have decent armor and if he isnt maxing it. that should help. also after a few seconds back away because his q will be up again. try not to take too many auto attacks from him.
