I suck, and I have nearly 100 games in bronze V. Don't sweat the small things.

Try playing a select few champs and try to learn what you do wrong. B5 isnt elo hell in fact its rather easy to carry once you get a lot of things down but that takes time. Youll be alright :)

I slightly disagree. I think he/she should try to have comfort with as many champions as they can. That way, they can play around bans more effectively, and understand how more champions work. This way, they can also counter the enemy more effectively.

In low elo counters will rarely matter. The reason being is that low elo players don't know how to effectively use their counters.

It can take months to begin being vaguely competent at this game..

I wouldn't worry about it too much. There is a lot to learn in this game and it will take quite a while to figure everything out.

Also, two major tips for beginners:

  • Runes are a very important part of the game, but you should only buy Tier 3 runes (which are available at level 20). Get an AD and an AP page (both with Armor seals and flat Magic Resist glyphs) when you can and that should hold you for quite a while.

  • Do not begin playing Ranked games once you hit level 30. While you can, you will generally still be bad enough at the game to be placed in the depths of Bronze. Personally, I waited for two Seasons (years) before I even bothered starting Ranked play.

I sucked for years. Hell, I've played DOTA for over a decade and LoL since beta and I've still never been higher than Gold.

Thank you guys for lifting the weight off my shoulders

If you're not even lvl 30 yet, there's still so much to learn. Don't even begin to think 'am i anywhere in the top X of players' until you've both gotten experience and unlocked the whole game.

Yes, it is. League has a learning curve which I imagine is fairly forgivable for those who have played MOBAs before, but for those just getting into the genre like me, it is incredibly difficult trying to learn everything. Hell, I still suck ass at League and I've been playing for about a year now.

i could try and help you. i am pretty decent but yeah i joined league 10 months ago..

No not at all. People still suck years into it. It took me a solid two months before i consistently started to win

I definitely wouldn't worry. Within a few months I'm sure you'll be quite competent - everyone's this bad at first :)

Not at all. People play for years and still suck, it took me a few months personally to even grasp game mechanics.

If I may make a suggestion, don't try to main just one or two roles. Practice all roles so that you can play anything in the game. Not only will this make you a more versatile teammate, but you will also have a better understand of how to fight each lane.

On the third day, I think I bought three boots. You're fine.

Look, my friend, It's completely normal. I built Lich Bane on Jinx for 3 weeks. 3 WEEKS. believe me it gets better.

I'm playing this game, like, since 2012? I still suck.

Literally no one's good at this game, I've been playing for 4 years and have 2000 games, about half are losses, you're gonna lose more often then not, especially in the early levels

I was still taking Hunter's Machete with Shyvana top lane when it was my 3rd day (which isn't a good thing). It takes time, man, don't sweat it.
