What makes this game (and the genre) terrible.
TL;DR - A multi-player, team based game where you're forced to work with players that are wrapped in a single-player mind set.
I swear, this genre has to be cancer of the gaming world.

Good point, they should introduce more team objectives that give more powerful momentum in the game. Riot never makes drastic changes if you notice, it's always little tweaks here or there. Drastic times call for drastic measures, people in this game just don't cooperate, it's a fact. So they need to make a drastic change to the team objectives in order to rectify this issue. On another note when will east coast get some love with their servers?
Pretty sure everyone is aware of this little issue. Best we can do is try to keep lines of communication open during matches, and if people refuse to communicate you report them for it and hope that the future is a bit brighter for it. There's no cure for mass stupidity.
You could say that about every sport ever created.
