Good example of poor teamwork?

What Happened

I came out of lane phase at 3/0/7. We did good bot lane, mid lane was doing well, and it seemed over all the team dynamic was good. As support, I decided to roam mid and help there, we got a few kills but no turret. Then I roamed top where we got 2 kills and 2 death, but we got a top turret (I thought they were doing dragon, but that was not the case). We were ahead, dominating the map, putting pressure on all the lanes, when we then got a good team fight in and took their inhib. We of course took some of their jungle, then some of our jungle, and then we we backed to buy. Things were lookin' good.

So, where is the poor teamwork?

Nasus kills Voli, Yi was in mid fighting Super Minions, and the other 3 were pushing bot lane (heading to second tier turret). Our jungler was top lane, mid was mid, adc was coming out of base, and I was right next to Baron. I saw them going bot (they were doing Drag), and I saw the split with Voli dead, and I called for Baron.

Silence

We persisted to go 1-by-1 to our deaths during their bot siege to lose the game. I personally believe my call for Baron was well placed, but I am truly perplexed as to why no one responded. Seriously, not a single word of the matter from my team. Right after I mentioned that, all that was said was "Man I'm fast."

Were the Baron buff would've helped us out in the end? Yes. For starters, we would've headed into their bot siege 5v4 with a Baron buff, but instead the opposite happened.

Anyways, sorry for the wall, but I wanted to share this with you all, because I wanted to know from the community if my call there for Baron was correct. And my other decisions as well, and I also wanna say that it seemed everyone was playing well, there was just that throw at the end that killed us.

I don't think baron was a bad call, but if everyone isn't on the same page then it is hard to do sometimes. Depending on where your mid was in mid lane, and where your jungler was in top it could of been very easy to take baron then rotate to block off bot. Your adc being far from baron is a sticking point tho of course. I think the real issue is how the base was defending. If you were truly "dominating" the map then they shouldn't' of been able to get dragon. If you guys were truely ahead then defending the base should not of been an issue. Baron isn't' really the issue.

Also i usually assume if my team calls for baron that its a bad call, since statistically that is the case. They may not of seen the other team going to dragon, felt like they didn't have the damage, or they may just not of trusted the call. Its not always about if the call is right, sometimes its about if the call is safe. They may not of felt safe.
