I have a 39% win rate

Before I go any further: yes, there have been games that i have played where I have fed my ass off and was 100% the cause of my own defeat. I fully accept that. That being said, it feels like there are also a large number of games, a much larger number than in previous seasons, where I have lost purely to bad luck. Games where my botlane is 0/20, even though i have a good kda. Games where their jungler ganked me more times than my jungler ganked the entire game.

To give you some perspective, I have a 27% win rate on Ekko mid (my main, on which I have about 500-600 games over 2 seasons) with an average KDA of 9/5/8, or overall average of 3.06. Tin there are games like i mentioned above where I just plain did poorly and lost the game for my team, but there are also games where I had a ridiculous KDA and just couldn't do anything to stop the loss. Now, before someone says the obvious, KDA isn't everything. Objectives matter a lot, and I do try and focus on those, often taking first tower mid or bot, or ganking bot before rotating to dragon.

I was plat 1 last season, qualified plat 5 this season and currently have an MMR of gold 3. Gold 3. I keep a running spreadsheet of every single match I have played this season on which I record my KDA, lane opponent, cs, game time, and most importantly the things I could have done better in the game, be it win or loss. And honestly, it often feels like there's not much to write in that column besides "need to cs better" and "die 1-2 less times." The game feels dictated on who's jungler ganks more and who's botlane feeds more.

I am not going to quit league. Despite the massive loss streak tear that I am on, i am finding ways to improve my own play, and I realize that I am nowhere near the best. But I am incredibly frustrated, and needed to write out some stuff to vent, so if you've made it this far, thank you for reading the whol;e thing, and give me any advice you have, it will be much appreciated.

Hey welcome to league where trolls love to keep you in elo hell, what you actually want to improve and climb the ladder, well lets save that for another time because lets be honest, you would need challenger level skill to get out of any teir you are in due to teammates either having potato internet or having a monkey behind the computer feeding botlane 0-50 but hey its fun with the new BALANCED CHAMPIONS coming out every day instead of fixing old ones.... RIGHT

I can see a few issues that I should point out. Mostly that you're not performing your role to conform to the meta.

Before you say, "I don't want to be a meta sheep." You should listen.

META = most effective tactics available. Who has the most carry potential right now? Currently, it's the jungler. As annoying as it is, it means you should be attempting to either put their jungler behind or supporting your jungler more than just farming your lane or dying once or twice fewer. This means that as the midlaner you should be shoving as hard as possible and then roaming, especially to bot because of how stupid easy it is to take the tower.

This is simply because you don't have the greatest carry potential due to your champion's strengths and your role's strengths. Instead of getting yourself fed just get your team fed because that's the best you can do. Winning your lane, as the midlaner, is less relevant than it's been in all 4 seasons I've played. Except maybe when everyone and their mother got Hexdrinker and you were basically a CC bot.

fact - league rank is log scaling.

fact - high rank players need to win significantly more games to climb up

fact - low rank players must lose significantly more games to fall down

fact - s7 is still trying to drop all the boosted players from their last seasons rank back down to bronze

fact - so many more games must be played mathematically so players are closer to where they actually belong

fact - just wait 2 months and then start playing again, you'll thank me latter.

As a Top Lane Main, I went from an 89% win rate on Darius last season to a 36% win rate this season

needless to say, I'm done with top lane for a bit until it's irrelevancy to nearly all of the early game is fixed in some way. These high snowball games where much of it is decided in the first 20mins through bot side has almost completely rendered top in as much of a bad state as bot.
