Disregarding the fact that baron does more damage and that dragon is tankier, which one has the more valuable buff? Does it depend on teamcomp? Just curious. I personally find baron more useful overall, especially when you have an inhib(s) down.

If neither team has taken a dragon, well, Baron's clearly better than Elder Dragon.
On the other hand, if one team has a considerable stack of dragon buffs, the extra combat stats they get from taking Elder outweighs the minion push advantage a Baron gives. No need to deal with buffed minions if you can just outfight the enemy team and rush their base.

1011001110001 votesIt depends on which dragons showed up over the course of the game. If it was a ton of earth or wind dragons, then Baron, but a ton of inferno or water dragons make elder dragon more appealing, since it just bolsters combat/siege stats.
