Change Champ Select

I have been in q for 30 minutes and for five times in a row someone has failed to pick or ban. I feel like this new champ select takes up way too much time and needs to change because of its issues having long q times until you get into a game. Personally I will only play 1 to 3 games a week but this makes me want to quit all together. Any ideas on how this problem can improve? A question below, Old or New Champ select? I prefer old because it gave you a randomized position to play basically, instead of picking fill now which gives you support 99% of the time. It also promoted communication in a sense because people had to call out their positions, on top of the que times being at least 75% shorter.
