League Client Crashing?

It has been too many times that my client has crashed in champion select causing me to have to wait 5 minutes and lose lp before I can q up again. Why does this always happen to me? I spend a good 10 minutes finding a game, that game has people in bronze 5 in it even though I'm in silver (that's a topic for later) and my client crashes randomly. It is very unplesent and I am not sure how I can fix it.
