@ Riot, When it comes to Item Reworks / Class Reworks...

When the community gives an opinion, why do you basically tell us we are idiots for not trusting you?

Is the PBE not used for giving critical feedback to you guys prior to release? How many situations/reworks/updates/buffs/nerfs have happened on PBE that the community SCREAMED out in desperation for you guys not to put onto live, but you do anyways? Then once on live, the mass of remaining people either abuse the hell out of the change/rework or on the flip side a champion falls to the way side.

I dont think you guys give enough credit to the people playing your game. A lot of users/players here play for hours on end daily. They arent screaming at you in desperation because they want to revolt every change/move you make, they are trying to voice their opinion as to why you should take a second look at what you are doing.

Kind Regards,

A disgruntled summoner.

Riot doesn't listen to the people on the PBE most of the time because TBH most of them ARE idiots. You point out how regarless of complaints things come out bad, but you dont mention how many things come out fine as well.

They use the PBE to make sure things arn't complete trash or completely overpowered, then they bring it to live and get feedback from Master/ Challenger players because they are the ones who know what they are talking about. Not the people who leave there silver accounts to go on the PBE.

It seems like the angriest posts get upvoted to the top while the rest get drowned out.

I think the move from mana regen to mana is great as long as they balance it properly and mages don't get pushed out of the game.

The overwhelming majority of the post are useless and honestly no one should be considering them relevant. If you weed out all of the circlejerk post and rage post there is barely any actual good content on this board. Due to how the upvote sytstem works the good post get drowned out. So much of it is just silver and bronze players with no actual game knowledge upvote spamming their own ignorance.

Worse people are acting like they have played with the new items which they haven't. The boards is wrong on so many proposed changes it's hilarious that people still think that most calls on balance changes are right. Worse riot does actually listen to the bad players and when they do we get the juggernaut patch where they buffed a bunch of champions based on bad player input and then they were all broken because of that.

Because the vast majority of the boards are so ridiculously biased and irrational, that listening to them would be an absolutely horrible idea.

It used to be that way.. Before season 1. If you had concerns about something you came to forum and there was huge chance of talking with Phreak, Morello or some other Rioters.

It's true that quaantity of players averaged quality of our opinions, thus Riot would have to double-check out every concern...

But damn.. Some things are so obviously broken that you need not even half a game to see something doesn't add up.

Whole idea of Devourer/feral flare was unbalanceable and should have been scrapped

Ez abusing mage jungle items/gauntlet (blu fking ez) Cinderhulk Sion/Seju/WW nerfs caused by items whichw ere nerfed Zilean rework and his followup mana problems (which were resolved after few patches).. Tank Yi which comes and goes every few updates

List could reach the moon..

And Riot still continues to make this game without care for players.

What's a summoner? Do they have their opinions disregarded as well?

The issue isn't Riot not listening or disagreeing. The issue is that every change will agitate some group of players. So whenever a change goes out, all the people that have an issue with the change come out and start making threads (some very well formatted with legitimate arguments and counter-arguments, and others that are just QQ threads) to make Riot see their reasoning. Most people that are in favor of the changes just stay quiet to avoid being harassed by the people who are making posts and (many, not all) raging about changes. And even if the players who oppose the change ARE correct, the sample size is WAY too small for Riot to act off of LoL forums and Reddit posts. The overwhelming majority of League players very rarely check, or engage in conversation, about upcoming changes. This ends with a ton of posts and opposition from <1% of the League community. You can't really fault Riot for that.

This is not to say that the players who speak out are wrong, or right. Riot does have some intelligent people, but (and they have said this many times themselves) the millions of players are ALWAYS going to outsmart them once a huge change like this goes live. That is the only way to truly test how changes will affect the game.

I'd also like to throw in that most League players seem opposed to large changes like this. I know Riot doesn't have the best track record with rolling out these changes, but within a few patches, the game is almost always playable and fun again.

This is all just my opinion, of course.
