Devourer wouldn't be an issue, if they removed the double on hit passive ability.

That's the entire underlying issue with the item.

YEah but if they do that no one will buy it again . Hard to find balance between OP and Useless.

not hard at all instead of double on-hits every 2 attacks (which is dumb and overbearing), just put it every 3.

Except that defeats the purpose of the item, which is to give sustained DPS junglers much needed burst damage. Their sustained damage was high enough before Sated but they were still too weak to be played.

Sustained damage is a marks man's job. Bruisers need burst.

Alright, if initial, front-loaded burst is your concern, then give the Sated proc a short cooldown and just allow it to modify the first auto-attack declared when Sated is off cooldown. That will give you instant, up-front burst without adding an exorbitant amount of sustained DPS thereafter.

If Riot did that, then Sated would become basically unusable for lower elo where players aren't skilled with item actives.

You'd rather that Sated be a mindless, hard scaling item that gives both front-loaded burst and outrageously high DPS for no work whatsoever?

I don't think it'd be unusable at lower elos; they'd just be unable to use the double on-hit on the proper target. It'd still do a lot of damage. It'd still give a ton of attack speed. It'd still give all that magic damage on hit.

But Devourer gave all that before and it didn't help. People still didn't build it.

I think Devourer is just fine the way it is now. Better to be overtuned than never seen. Right now it's pushing early game aggro junglers out of the meta, which is a good thing.

Ah yes. I, too, enjoy imbalanced items getting a free pass simply because it's better for them to be more visible, no matter how negatively or positively they impact the game.

As opposed to it being unusable in competitive because junglers are more expected to have an impact before 20 minutes

AmazingBeaver1 votes

Makes sense , but will become less popular , since ppl wont buy it just cuz it got nerfed xD

Well it would be nice if maybe in increased the damage slightly and then made it proc every other attack. Once sated, procs every hit.
