Why Morde HAS to go bot lane: It would be unhealthy for the band to have no bot-lane duo. At least, that's the best excuse I can come up with.

Yorick support actually kind of works already. I've done it a few times with varying success, even won a couple of ranked games with it lol.

No, but he needs a tanky buddy to fight with him. His W only does damage when there's another ally next to him.

No, it's that it only works if shielding an ally. Thus he can shield Sona, keeping her safe and doing damage with the shield it gives him.

you don't have to be right next to him, and Sona might actually be pretty good with him because of their all in power at 6 between his burst and her ult and MS buff.

Wrong. Sona is good with Mord bot. She can poke down the enemy laners and zone to help Mord with his farming since hes melee. She can heal and shield Mord if he getting poked. She has bonus movement speed + her Ulti stun to engage/disengage. Also when they are close enough to enemy laners, Mord will also provide a heal for even more sustain.

No she is the perfect lane buddy for him tbh cause she can heal up his health costs for abilities :D plus she has the CC that he requires as well as the ms boost :D

Why does everybody keep trying to send Morde to bot lane? Let's take the duo lane https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BO71hwNCMAIYJYm.png Seriously, take the support up to Mid/Top and leave your team with an ADC in bot lane, maybe one of the more self-sustaining ones.

The reason why duo bot started is because it is easier to fight/take dragon with 3-4 people.

While the enemy midlaner gets smashed by YOUR duo-lane. If you plan ahead at all and pick an adc with decent solo play and powerful early game, they'll be able to hold their own until your jungler is ready to gank. Meanwhile midlane (the one that always ends up getting pushed anyways) gets an early headstart.

It would be more meta, but Morde bot is not exactly meta, so that argument doesn't carry a ton of weight here. Morde will love Leona as others have mentioned, and Olaf is not that far from Leona with his endless Undertow CC. Also, Morde and Olaf bot will be able to all in better than Morde Sona... Who knows though.

Force the meta to change by sending a super Tank heavy person Top like Tahm Kench, Taric, or Rammus with Mordekaiser, then send some super early game ADC down Bottom.

Also, I just remembered Yorick Mori. Maybe the Yorick rework isn't as far off as I thought. Moreover, who's to say where Yorick will go when he gets reworked.

If I had to guess, he'll remain a solo laner of SOME sort. I recall them saying they want to play up the "necromancer" aspect of his kit, which would suggest a more mage-like role, I would think.

Potentially some sort of tanky mage would work, too, if they want him to remain durable.
