Some reasonable buffs for Viktor to be made viable again...

As the title says...

Viktor is currently sitting at a 46%-48% win rate... http://na.op.gg/champion/viktor/statistics/mid https://champion.gg/champion/Viktor/Middle?league=Jhin

Passive: Glorious Evolution

Hex Core mk-1 cost decreased from 1250 to 400

Hex Core mk-2 cost decreased from 2250 to 1250

Perfect Hex Core cost decreased from 3000 to 2250

New Effect Hex Core mk-1 is purchasable at level 8 - so Viktor will not be able to start with a mk-1

W: Gravity Field

Stacks generated increased from 0.5 seconds to 0.75 seconds all ranks

New Effect Gravity Field now grounds enemy champions

Viktor needs no buffs, he needs the meta to change. Those that he does well into aren't being played, so of course his stats suck atm.

this is true.. victor himself isnt bad.. his wave clear is actaylly better than most ap mid laners and is almost on par with AD champions

(the irony of that statement is horrendous) mages should have better cheaper and less expenise wave clear.... than assassins like Zed or Talon

or top laners that buy item 3077

becuase they have a much harder time CSing with autos as they dont build AD. and becuase using multiple spells to clear a wave takes an absurd amount of mana

victor is one of the few that with a single spell (i think its his E, w/e the lazer beam is)

can clear out the melee and caster minions of non cannon waves.

most mages cant do with without using at least 2 spells

yet a Talon can...

that is the issue with mages like victor and Ziggs

what makes them good, the part of their kit that is thier design... is right now being done better my other classes who just have it as a stupid gimmick for no reason on top of an already strong kit

i mean Viktor ulti is very strong...

but its a damage over time, and fight don't last long enough for that

I agree entirely. It's why Mazlahar has somewhat gone down the toilet. His waveclear is dependent on his voidlings, which means so is his mana sustain. His DoT style gameplay just isn't FAST enough to kill people before they kill him, and with the nerfs he just hasn't got the burst to contend.

The only reason he has a viable winrate right now is his ult; the CAUSE of all the nerfs to his kit.

Hopefully Riot will see the series of threads I'm writing at the moment in Story, Art and Sound and consider a remake along the lines I'm suggesting. The potential for this champion is MASSIVE if given a good rework, and not in a broken way, in a viable AP carry with counterplay way.

For once, I have to agree with you, Colton.

But only on giving Viktor's W a grounded effect.

I disagree with everything else.

Viktor's Hex Core items, in my opinion, seem to be very expensive and I feel like he is pretty much put behind by having to spend so much gold - which delays him to getting other items, such as item 3116 item 3285 etc.

There's a reason they're so expensive though.

They give a lot of useful stats and they grant very handy bonus effects for your abilities.

I agree, it might need a little bit of a price drop for the first upgrade, but what you're suggesting is ludicrous.

Maybe reverse the costs, decrease MK 1 to 750 gold, keep MK 2 at 1000 gold, and increase MK 3 to 1250 gold.

What you're suggesting makes it way too easy to get the first upgrade, and way too hard to get the last, as well as increasing the final gold cost to 3900, making it the most expensive item in the game (barring Ornn's Mastercraft items) which is complete shit for what it gives and doesn't actually solve the problem you described to begin with.
