Best Top Lane?

Curious on your guy's thoughts... I like a good Poppy, Trundle, Gnar, Jax. Thats really all i play in top lane but who is going to excel in 2017? Also why is Trundle so good all of a sudden? Recently got back into the game so I am wanting to play more ADC and support roles but I am not really sure how to "learn" it... Ideas?
