when does ranked officially go into preseason

Right now ranked is down. When it comes back up will that be the preseason? im asking this question because im g5 and i dont want to lose my rank. so if i queue up for ranked when it comes back up and i lose, will it be preseason?

When the preseason starts in a week or two, the new ranked season will start then(ranked will come back). Your rank will be reset and you will be unranked. You then have to play another 10 placement games.
