The Optimal way to play the Sona rework isn't fun.

To make it through laning phase, because her stats are even weaker ad/ap/poke/defensive its better to max W first and go Coin for lategame with the frostfang nerfs and the nerfs to her poke. Which just makes Sona a healbot, and not really even a healbot since it's only mana efficient to cast the spell when your ally is half health. You need coin to position for lategame since her E spoodboost isn't strong enough of a speedboost to catch up to allies. Her build path is more limited than ever, you NEED 40% cdr and about 200 Ap to feel useful. Why the heck did they let this off PBE?

I think the optimal way to play the Sona rework is to go mid, build item 3174 and item 3100, and then faceroll.

I've had some success building Sona as more of a mage than a typical support. She needs the AP, and the mana regen, and the CDR, and can no longer really afford to waste time/gold on items like the sightstone.

Though this still isn't as fun as the old Sona. I miss stacking auras.

so sona is bad cause she is a late game support

ok lets buff her early and gut her ratios so she will be a tanky heal bot late game after her good early oh wait but then you will come back to make a qq thread
