Increase the number of bans

When LOL first game to be and introduced the bans system they only allowed 3 champs to be banned per team. I'm just thinking that this should be updated. A total of 6 bans for 40-50 champs, ok thats pretty fair. Yet we have 127 champions now and only have a total of 6 bans still? i feel like this causes teams to only pick the same comps and champs over and over because if they do not pick/ban them, then the other team will just use them. Makes the game a bit stale when its the same kind of god tier picks being fought over. I say we increase the number of bans per game. They clearly were ok with having a higher ratio of 40/6 but now how about for the 127 champs we have like 10 bans, or even 8 would help. just my thoughts, im sure this has been brought up before. If each player gets to ban one champ that is 10 bans in total. To me that is fair. Each player can ban who they don't want to go up against in their role based on who they are going to play. The way I see it that just means there are 117 champs to choose from. Still a lot to choose from and still be able to make counter play. I think that would be a great update.

1 ban for each person, rather than relying on your randomly selected captain to not be a selfish asshole.

Ehh . I disagree. You need to learn how to play against the champs you hate sooner or later. Might as well start now.

You can effectively ban out all the tank or supports with 10 bans or half the ADC's as well.

Someone will be forced into ADC and cannot role an ADC because of all the bans going out and they didn't purchase all the other ADC's as an example.

This is why more bans is a bad idea.

6 bans never felt as underwhelming as they do now, with the juggernaut rework and the amount of champions there are now i don't understand why it's still 6 bans, i mean at least 8 would be much better.

4 or 5 bans per team does seem reasonable. It would also be nice to see bans available in other modes, such as ARAM.

What would increasing the bans achieve? Because if the best 6 champions are banned each game, then the priority goes to the next 6-16. If you ban the 10 best champions each game, the priority goes to 10-20.

Because lets be real - people are just permabanning the same champions. In the past week, Darius has a 93% banrate but has the 13th lowest win ratio at 46% (according to na.op.gg).

Spend time learning to play against new champions instead of requesting more bans. Bans are for very specific cases where a specific player is very good with a champion or the champion is OP (few and far between). More bans are not needed. Better players are needed.

I agree but dissagree I clicked agree though I feel bans just halt the game and make it harder for people to learn how to play against a certain champion.what riot needs to do is revamp rank so that it's hard to lose LP.I don't understand why Normals have bans if they aren't fighting for competitive.i play normal draft so I don't have to deal with instalockers.

League will avoid this like the plague, because it means its pros will need to have much deeper champion pools then they do right now. since this game is much less about team comp and individuals get to make bigger plays in league, target bans would be far more common then they are in Dota.

Imagine watching top laners deal with 7-9 meta picks banned out

they wouldn't know what do with themselves. Amumu
