Which season do you think was the most balanced and fun to play in?
Just out of curiosity i want to see what people think. Please Upvote the post! [poppy-wink]

4 and 5 Every single balance problem right now can be traced back to patch 5.22 (preseason 6) where they multiplied adc damage by about 1.2 while nerfing other classes itemization.
bingo.
i really disliked 4 when they screwed every melee character with their changes to base stats and hp5/ mp5 changes. season 5 was really good after the juggernaut update (ignoring playing versus Morde Darius and Garen)
Ugh, that happened in 5.22(preseason 6) when they removed mana pots and made pots 25gold more expensive, and gave everyone stats you got things wrong, season 4 is where they nerfed most melee because of Brutalizer. Season 4 was everybody builds a DFG.
Ive been able to enjoy my relitively not 6 defensive item games while actually building ad on bruisers in season 4.
It wasnt until after the midseason mage update that bruisers couldnt actually be played because despite when patches drop the community still takes time to change the meta its not all done in the same hour. And it wasnt until november of the season 6 year that people came out with titanic hydra through not careing how bad it feels to do no damage and burst as a bruiser/ tank because no one had been playing them since after the mage update for bruisers except the featured juggernauts in the juggernaut update (
) and tanks since 2 months after adcs got crit strike increase and after a near year of not playing tanks people no longer remembered how bad it was so they had nothing to compare it too it was at least more durable than picking sona and the only hp you had was sight stone but it wasnt durable and nor did the ad increases for
get sneaked in yet or the increase in armor pen from
and
nor any of the several times (maybe 3 odd occasions after adc crit update and 2 before) armor hp and magic resist generally got nerfed.
I loved and enjoyed Season 5! I miss the old jungle and the old smite/boots enchantments!
[slayer-pantheon-popcorn]
I loved Boot Enchatments so much. RIP
i'd say 4 and early 5. Riot started making crazy decisions after then
Exactly my point i think Late season 4 and till mid season 5 game was at a STATE where i played and im not joking, i literaly had 2500+ games season 4. I think my average was 5 hours a day on LoL.
Game was so good then. I miss the game we fell in love with so much. What we have now is pale in comparison.
who the fuck said 7 and 8 lmao
Prolly 3, 4, or 5.
I'mma split the difference and say 4.
Thanks for your comments, i personaly think season 4 and 5 were the best, very balanced in every way , each 5 types of champions, assasins, tanks, adc, bruiser, support, everything had counterplay and good items as well.
EDIT: 4 has been getting the most votes so far, i think people can relate. EDIT 2.0: Please upvote lets get some attention on this post , thanks.

Season 5 was great until the juggernaut update hit, then the game became THE worst it's ever been lmao.
I loved season 2 and 3, while in the old days, and seasons beyond it was still the same, only select few champs were meta, but back then, anyone that wasn't meta was straight bad to play as. Also back then, most champions actually had different power curves, except for assassins, who were strong all game unless they got counter picked, and then they wouldn't be able to do shit all game. Feast or Famine. I liked it when there was actually such a thing as, lane bullies, hyper carries, the trinity of burst > dps > tank > burst.
Since season 6, everyone's power curve feels too similar, but unpopular opinion, this season is starting to change for the better again. While we still have meta champs, this season has probably been the most champions that can be picked that won't lead to feast or famine situations. Champions start to feel like they have their own unique power curves again with some exceptions, which are the current meta adcs. While lane bullies still don't really exist anymore, I'm starting to feel those champs that are actually weak early again, and scale to late, or people who are strong early, and fall off late. It's a step forward to making the game enjoyable again

I remember assassins being very feast or famine back during S2. It wasn't until S3 (when the penetration formula was changed along with defensive masteries) that assassins became strong. That's when everyone started rushing penetration, making both tanks and many bruisers near unplayable.
Season 5. That season, you could have an entire team of feeders and still have a chance to win. Today, a single feeder = gg.
I liked 4 the jungle was EZ back then and it had alot more variety at least at my ELO. Also mages had way better items back then the 120 ap Zionhas DFG and Athens were all great. ADC was not the monster it has turned into these days and support acted like a champion on a budget rather then just ADC shield slave.
Season 2 > Season 3 > Season 4 > Season 6 > Season 5 > Now > Season 7 FUCK THE ASSASSIN UPDATE >:(
Season 2 was actually pretty great in terms of overall viability for each champion, Season 3 followed on from that with some good changes (but they removed fun items), Season 4 was fun up until they forcefully tried to change up how junglers itemised, Season 6 > Season 5 cause Season 5's tank meta was the beginning of the end, Season 8 (now) follows since it's atrocious balance wise and "fun" wise and.....
Season 7 was hands down the worst season since they ruined the assassin class completely and they made tanks, supports and ADCs so much more irritating to deal with than they ever were before. Also fuck Ardent Censer.
I really enjoyed season 3. 4 and 5 were also good but 6 was the begin of the downfall of this game.
season 4 was aids by the way. because the second half was the same shit we have now. riot overbuffed crit itemization back then.
it wasnt quite as bad as now, but it was still pretty bad.
In my eyes, its not the Crit items that's the problem its the heals and shields and the tank damage right now its insane, 2many champs can rush 1 tank item and 3v1 literaly.

like who is able to 1v3 off defensive itemization right now without being disgustingly fed?
crit itemization is the cheapest carry itemization in the game. marksmen pay 700 to 1000 gold less for 3 items than mages, fighters or skirmishers. at the same time, marksmen itemization is geared to outscale other carry itemization due to cubic scaling.
last whisper items are dirt cheap, and so is g.a. a marksman whos supposed to be a type of lategame carry hits full build 10 minutes earlier than other carries off the same amount of gold.
stacking allows marksmen to deal 400 damage shiv crits against other squishy targets and burst the fuck out of them, while dealing a large amount of sustained damage off the same items.
shiv wasnt even supposed to be an assassination tool for marksmen. it was originally supposed to be a waveclear tool. why can its passive even crit champions at all?
how does any of this make sense? how is crit itemization not a problem? there is everything wrong with it.
S5 pre-juggernaut update. (That was S5 right?)
3 easily, when league peaked, it's been downhill ever since
Been playing since the ass end of season 1 and 4 is by far the best IMO.
Season 2 was the best. Most of the people who played in S2 already have quit coz the game just went downhill ever since the pre-season of season 3. All of these kids saying Season 5 was amazing definitely didn't play in season 2.
the game's popularity snowballed because of season 2. true fact
From all of the long time players you are going to get Seasons 2, 3, or 4 and you'll get 5 through 8 from the newer players
Personally I'm going to say S2, it was a very good season and I think most of the people who played at that point would rate it highly. The problem is that there aren't a ton of S2 players left at this point.
If I were to rate the seasons I'd say 2>5>4>3>7>6>8, I didn't really play enough in S1 to have an opinion on it.
tbh its kinda tied between season 3 and season 6, though season 6 was probably my favorite season to date, they were so so so close to getting everything balanced then this preseason took years of effort put into balancing and threw it out the window

It was bad before the preseason hit, it just amplified that. Lets not forget the ardent censor meta.
it was garbage before but still fixable, but with how big the changes were its going to take years to recover and get back to where were around say season 5 in balance
funnyest : S4
more balanced : S5
then they fked up the game
Season 5 was a blast
2 because the game length and pace were perfect, you could solo carry, individual skill was at its peak and so was the pro scene
5 because literally 95% of all champions were PERFECTLY VIABLE before the juggernaut patch came, after that the game went downhill and now its in the gutter
Season 5, everything was chiil, at least how I remembered it. Everything after the Juggernaut update just made the game go downhill. Take Kog'maw, Malzahar, Duskblade, 7000 health Cho'gath, Camille Release, and the new client for example. It's like Riot completely lost their minds after Pre-season 6.
The one with the jungle buffs from smite
Ive only been playing since s6+ and from 6-8, season 6 was the most balanced without a doubt.
Although ive heard s4 and 5 were even better
Season 5 was really good it had the most diversity
cinder hulk was a bit stupid for a while but besides that it was imho the most balanced season you could literally get away with playing any champion you wanted
Season 4 until midseason 5 when the mage and juggernaut reworks took place. From that point on the game went downhill. Season 6 was bad, season 7 I uninstalled untill season 8 and currently its a game of 'the adc and his 4 cheerleaders'.
game started getting dumb at the introduction of jungle plants
Ignoring the busted Assassins that could rip though tanks fighters and tanks (not like that changed) Season 3
I don't remember what's happened in each season. I'm just a mindless sheep playin' the game lol
none of the above*[galio-happy]*
Season 5 and Mid to Late season 6
Even though season 5 had it's crazy exceptions (the gp-rework, tank-fiora, botlane-morde-madness), it still felt like you could suceed with any champion in any position and had equal agency over the game. And additionally the "special-meta states: cinderhulk, runegleave, juggernaut!" lasted for 1-2 months each and not like "oh these two seasons are botlane-meta!"
Definitely 4 or 5, when I first started playing. Honestly, I'm bad with time but I started playing a few months before Ekko was released. The game just felt good, not as snowball-y and definitely more rewarding for making a good play. Since then there's been a gradual damage creep that's been ruining the game play experience. Not gonna lie, it's definitely still fun and entertaining, I just feel like the "good old days" are gone.
3-4-5 were pretty good, 6-7 were trash and 8 is looking like it's gonna be shit also. hopefully riot listens and change the game and remove all the bad stuff they have added over the year.
beta by far. tf ult on E and aoe stun gold card was the best balancing in league history.
5 was my starting season so im likely biased, but 5 was most enjoyable for me.
