why are my teammates in ranked lower rank than those im facing?

i dont understand why the majority of the players i face are currently ranked or have been ranked in plat while 50% of the time my teammates are just out of silver or are mid gold ( 4-2) and i am Gold III. i just dont understand how this seems fair or maybe i just dont understand the matchmaking well enough to see why. If someone can help me out id really appreciate it. Its been making ranked games seem almost impossible for me to win and its cost me 2 series to gold 1 and im getting very down on myself.item 3070

I have the opposite. i am always matched with Gold kids while Im silver 5.

MMR =/= Rank

your teammates probably have high MMR for their current league rank or your opponents have low MMR for theirs
